What books would you recommend to someone who doesn’t read a lot? • I got off work today and had a text from my husband that said, “I want to read tonight. Pick a book for me?” And honestly, that is my favorite question anyone can ask me ever 😂 Uts really hard to pick just one though, so I’m giving him options. Favorite book of 2019? • Mine is Bloodwitch! It is ~incredible~. I think...I THINK...I love it more than Windwitch, and Windwitch blew my mind. Bloodwitch really drove home how amazing Aeduan is, and it has a scene in the end that gives me chills to even think about. I love it love it love it. • This is another one of my favorite shelves. What’s your favorite series? • I’ve been missing the Throne of Glass books lately and might have to start rereading them. Now that I’m getting back into my old habits/schedule and have more me time I feel like I could probably squeeze them in over the rest of the year. How do you arrange your bookshelves? • You all, I am in love with my new shelves 😭 I decided to use the middle two shelves around the entire room to showcase my favorite authors/series and this corner is one of my favorites! What did you do this weekend??? • I have a great weekend! I finally, after years of ogling them online, got the bookshelves I’ve been wanting from Ikea! So definitely expect more shelfies over the next few days 😅 I also picked up some new books! I’ve already read Captain Marvel Vol 1 and omgggg it was incredible!!! Seriously one of my new favorites. What’s your favorite genre to read? • I love fantasy the most. Contemporary and romance are favorites too, but fantasy-especially if it includes romance- is where I find myself gravitating to, where all my favorites are. • I’ve read Finnikin of the Rock and absolutely loved it, especially the ending. I’ve always heard Froi of the Exiles is even BETTER but I haven’t read it yet. I’d love to get to it this year though haha. What’s a book you’re dying to read but haven’t gotten to yet? • I read Everless when if very first came out and I think I read the whole thing in a day. I looooved it. I bought Evermore back in the winter but I still haven’t read it 🙈 at this point I definitely have to reread the first book again, I’m terrible at remembering books. How do you choose what you’ll read next? • I usually go with my gut. Occasionally I try to plan it out, but loosely so I don’t get pinned down to a reading schedule I don’t want because that’s the fastest way to get me to not read haha. Do you have a library room? • I am working on having one! And this past weekend I found an old library cart at a thrift store and had to have it! My husband spray painted it white for me and I’m soooo excited to use it! How’s your weekend going? • Sorry I disappeared for a few days! I had extra time off work so I did some projects around the house that I’ve been meaning to get to for forever, plus I was just super busy on top of all of that! What’s was one of your favorite books of 2018? • I looooved American Panda! And now I’m super excited for @gloriacchao’s next novel, Our Wayward Fate! • SYNOPSIS: Seventeen-year-old Ali Chu knows that as the only Asian person at her school in middle-of-nowhere Indiana, she must be bland as white toast to survive. This means swapping her congee lunch for PB&Js, ignoring the clueless racism from her classmates and teachers, and keeping her mouth shut when people wrongly call her Allie instead of her actual name, Ah-lee, after the mountain in Taiwan. Who’s one of your favorite authors? • I absolutely love @brandsanderson’s books. I actually first found him because I was reading The Wheel of Time series, of which he wrote the last three books. I love the whole series, and he did such an amazing job finishing it that I decided to check out his Mistborn books. And the rest is history. I’ve read almost all of his books now(I WILL read The Rithmatist this year!) and Skyward is one of my favorites. My July TBR! What are you planning to read this month? • I’m trying to keep my TBR modest this month so maybe I’ll actually stick to it, and even then some of these might bleed into Aug/Sept. I’m hoping to reread Scythe and Roar, so I might actually take my time with those two. I’ve already started Sorcery of Thorns and The Subtle Knife, I might finish one of those this weekend! My June Wrap-Up! What did you read in June? • June was a great month for me reading-wise. After months and months of just not reading much at all, I feel like last month I finally got back to close to where o used to be. And I loved all of these books! They’re all favorites now. I did DNF one book, and also read one ebook, those aren’t pictured. 8 books! I’m really proud of what I accomplished! Do you prefer paperbacks or hard covers? • I like both, for different reasons. I like hard covers because they look great on shelves, and the spines don’t show creases. I like paperbacks because they’re easier to handle and fit in my book sleeve. Do you always look under the jackets of your books? • I do, and I absolutely love what the naked covers of these books look like! So pretty, and they looks so good together, I can’t wait to see the third one! • It’s Monday, blaaaaah, but I only have a three day work week, plus I’m going to see Spider-Man Homecoming tonight, so I think it’s gonna be a pretty good day! Do you miss Game of Thrones on Sundays? • I definitely do. Opinions about the last season aside, it was such an amazing show overall and I just don’t know if another show will take its place for me.
