âFirst of all, hello to you, too. And second, you live here? You own this place?âÂ
âYeah, I totally own this place. I stay in this huge master bedroom with a california king bed. You wanna see?âÂ
âSo, whatâs happening here? Where can I find Charles Xavier? Iâm sorry for crashing the party, but itâs really important. Can you help me?â
âIâm not exactly sure where Charles is....but I do know where my bedromm is...if that means anything to you.âÂ
âShush, shush.  Iâm hiding from the rest of the party,â Wanda said, looking around before sitting down and pouring a much-too-full glass of wine.  âHowâd you know?â
âYe canâ hide this is yer party! Ye brought this upon on us!â he said with a chuckle, finishing off what seemed to be at least his fourth glass of wine. âWell I was the witness of course, ye know signinâ the party and junk.âÂ
âIâm not sayinâ I might have known âbout this whole thing before anybody else but...I may have known âbout this whole thing before anyone of yâall.â
âIâll have a vodka martini, shaken⊠not stirred. Kidding, that sounds awful, but this dress has me thinking I look like a high end slut. White Wine please.â
âYe do know Iâm not a bartender righ...?â Remy asked glancing around. âThis jusâ happens to be my own lilâ collection of alcohol. Why should I give ye some? Yer always mean ta me lately!âÂ
âYouâre such a flirt, Mrâ What do I call you?â she handed the man his shirt back, tired of having to avoid looking at him. âCover yourself now. Iâm a lady and your body is making me think bad thoughts. Whereâs Nawlins exactly?âÂ
âYe can call me Remy. What âbout ye, what do I call ye?â he asked slipping the shirt back over his head. âOh really? What kinda thoughts? Nawlins is in Louisiana!âÂ
âThat makes me feel less cute. Where am I supposed to sit? Do you do this a lot? Where are you from? You have an accent. I hope itâs not rude of me to point that out.âÂ
âWell I mean, I actually meant it when I said it to you.â he said, giving her a wink. âJusâ....stand fer a minute? Iâm almost done! I donâ do this much at all actually, I donâ drive much myself. Well Iâm orginally from âNawlins. Nah, it ainât rude at all.âÂ
âEven if I were a killer, I wouldnât kill you after you just called me cute.â She nodded in response but tried to avoid eye contact- at least eye contact with his body. She put his shirt over her shoulder and rolled the spare tire to him. âDo you need anything else?â she asked, looking up to the sky, regretting her shirt suggestion.Â
âWell I know what I gotta call everyone from now not ta die.â he looked up at her giving her a broad smile. âNah jusâ sit there and look pretty, Iâll be done in jusâ a sec.â
âI suppose youâre right. Lots of people have powers these days, but you donât have to worry. Iâm a human girl.â she stared at the manâs naked torso for far too long and averted her gaze to the road instead. âIt smells good. What cologne do you use?â she asked after catching a whiff of his shirt, but still staring off into nothing.Â
âGood I wouldnâ wanna be murdered or nothinâ by such a cute girl.â he worked at the tire, eventually getting it off before looking back up at her. âI donâ know? Polo Black I think. Can ye roll that tire ta me?â he asked pointing to the spare.
âWhat are you doing?â
âIâm jusâ chillinâ, what are ye doinâ?âÂ
Hayley stepped out of the car after realizing the man was harmless, standing next to him with her arms crossed. âDo I look like I could kill you? And you should take your shirt off or youâre gonna get grease all over it.âÂ
âI donâ know!? Ye never know this dayâs ye could have a power ta kill everyone named Remy or somethinââ he nodded his head at her words, removing his shirt. âWill ye hold on ta that while I work?â he asked tossing the shirt to her and beginning to change the tire.
âPop your trunk. That would be a good sex euphemism.â she joked before popping the trunk open. âWhat are you doing in the middle of nowhere? I can give you a ride after youâre done changing the tire, if you promise not to kill me.âÂ
âNah I jusâ met ye, I wonâ throw those out jusâ yet.â he joked in return, walking to the trunk and pulling the spare tire and tools from the back. âI promise I wonâ, Iâm not much of the killinâ type but ye gotta promise ye wonâ kill me too.âÂ
âDo you want an honest answer? And can you do it with me still in the car?âÂ
âYe keep talkinâ like that and yer gonna hurt my feelinâs.â he said with a chuckle. âI can but ye gotta pop yer trunk for me.âÂ

âHey, you there! Can you change a tire?â she asked, without leaving the car because the man looked like a criminal, but he was the only person around and she needed to get home before dark.
âOf course I can change a tire! What do ye take me for, some kinda slouch?â
âWait!
Hang on, can you justâ Would you at least slow down?â Valeria almost skidded to a stop before them, nearly banged into them in fact but her reflexes kicked in to prevent that. âYouâve got a spider in your hair, and please donât touch it or knock it out! âŠItâs a robot spider, Iâd prefer it wasnât smashed by giant fingers.â
Remy stooped and glanced down at the girl and gave a light chuckle. âHere I âll let ye grab it so I donâ break it or nothinâ.â he said stooping down and tilting his head towards her. âCan ye see it?â
