Eleven dames, eleven names, coming to you with an upbeat, high tempo animated music video.
Does anyone else get a warm fuzzy feeling when they spot small art errors in illustrations? Like it's reassuring to know even professionals you look up to are human, and it's nice to be reminded they also make mistakes like you do?
⦿ Not the kind of face you’d ask for directions
i think i will get lucky and find $10,000 in cash today
crazy thing is, I've received a few hateful anons now and all they want to talk about is how bad Patricia Taxxon is, roundly ignoring the main point of my post which was this little rhetorical trick hbomb likes to pull. and like. it's telling, isn't it, that you can make the point that this cis guy is using clever lies to paint a vulnerable person as some horrid pervert, and all anyone can think about is "why yes, that person is horrid!"
almost like this is somethin we might want to watch out for so that people can't leverage their systemic power over others to hurt them!
Watching a short about executives cutting down the gay themes of a show and one comment I saw straight up says "executives have no place in Hollywood"
I get the outrage at the choice to tone down depictions of us and the outrage around that, but this kind of blind hatred bothers me more than the gay themes being cut
Not to defend corporate, but I'm fully aware that not all executives are evil right winger pleasers in fact executive meddling is the reason why some shows stay afloat, that's like blaming the fault of the guy up top to the entire team
The phrase should've accurately been "The spineless person in charge appealing outrage right wingers have no business in Hollywood", but that wouldn't be eye catching and make a rise out of people reading it now wouldn't it?
No, it's a fair assessment. Executives aren't the same thing as a company having a president. Executives are part of an elected board by shareholders, and where shareholders are involved only bad things can come.
"End all public stock trading" should really be the ideal going forward.
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
actually id say that the falsely constructed idea of trans unity - that all trans people are some monolithic group who all agree with each other and are all equally oppressed and anyone who disagrees with that is an outsider trying to harm the trans hivemind - is FAR MORE DAMAGING to trans people as a whole than the basic understanding that intersectionality exists
lets be real, "trans unity" will never happen as long as there are privileged trans people who use their privilege to harm others. not only is that phrase a stupid unobtainable fantasy and will not protect us from systemic transphobia... its also exclusively said by mitchfestian tmes who want us to shut up about our specific relationship with transmisogyny
trans people will never be unified. and thats fine. thats okay. name one oppressed group where all members perfectly agree with each other and never fight. ill wait.
you dont have to agree with everything every other trans person says. hell you dont even have to like most of them.
but you can at least have the common decency to care for and help support those who are less privileged than you, instead of denying that their oppression exists then calling them faggots (ie "we're all faggots in the eyes of the state")
i think it's so fucking harrowing that i'm so numb to all this bullshit it took me until seeing this post for the third time to realise that the transandrochud's favourite line of "we're all faggots" is literally calling trans women faggots. like. hello?????? your ideological striking point is calling us a slur?

The poses are kinda cheesy cuz I was listening to this while drawing it.
so. the thing about that hbomberguy vaguepost is that it's a prime example of this really bad rhetorical habit that hbomb's always had. he likes to cherry-pick the worst-sounding lines from whatever he's criticising and present them, out of context, in a mocking tone. the words of Patricia's that he used to discredit her were: "I can't think of a single good argument against lolicon."
sounds bad, right? yeah! it does! hbomb was banking on that gut reaction to those contextless words to make you agree with his point without giving it much thought, just like he does in his videos sometimes. (the example that sprung to mind is his critique of Peter Capaldi's regeneration episode in Doctor Who, when he brings up the dialogue "oh! it's not an evil plan!" as if it's evident of the episodes shortcomings when ACTUALLY he TOTALLY MISREPRESENTS THE EPI- I'm gonna stop, don't get me started on Doctor Who I won't be able to shut up.)
it's an effective rhetorical tactic for sure, because it hooks you with your gut reaction and discourages you from thinking any further. that's why he uses it! but when you take a step back and look at the full picture, you notice that this clever rhetorical tactic is actually just the skillful application of a very simple way of presenting information: lying, that is.
because what is the context of the words "I can't think of a single good argument against lolicon?"
well that's the first lie. there isn't any context for those words 'cause that's not what she said. in the thread hbomb's referring to, Patricia starts off by saying "ive been waiting to find or come up with a good argument against lolicon since i was like 19 and i havent really yet." and goes on to ponder why most common arguments against lolicon don't really hold, since most arguments are concerned about harm to actual children, notably different from drawings. (I should say here, the obvious argument against lolicon is "it's fucked up of someone to want and enjoy that," an argument that I would also levy against, say, someone making rape jokes. but that's neither here nor there.) having read through the thread, it's pretty tame? idk, I don't see anything there to get your knickers in a twist over. it's some fairly mild observations about an uncomfortable topic.
I think that the subject matter is what trips people up here, as well as who it's being discussed by. lolicon is already a very uncomfortable topic nobody really wants to talk about. adding on to that, transmisogyny primes people to see trans women as predatory, so the average sleeper's instincts go "taboo subject + trans woman = oh no!" and, if you don't stop to give it a little thought, that can be hard to get past. that's why this little rhetorcial trick of hbomb's has been so effective here! as I said, it hooks you on that "taboo subject + trans woman" gut reaction and diacourages you from thinking about it further. kind of like a thought-terminating cliché, except this time it's a culture-war-instigating cliché.
so, in conclusion? cis guy leverages transmisogyny to ignite a flame of harassment against a trans woman for Saying Something He Didn't Like, then goes quiet as the internet mob does what it does best, spurred on by his words. oh, but he deleted the post, so he's actually not at fault here, nevermind.
I don't believe hbomb meant for this to happen. we know that, when he's not making train-of-thought posts off the cuff, he's particular about stressing to his audience not to harass anyone he critiques. but his silence during the deluge of hate he's opened the floodgates for is chilling. is it really that hard to say "hey I fucked up, please don't harass this woman?"
I reckon an apology is warranted. some kind of public recognition that this is Not What Should Happen, at least. if hbomb doesn't do anything of the sort, it can only be due to cowardice.
To be clear: This is Hbomberguy, a very well known content creator with a very large fanbase turning to the camera and saying "Kiwifarms is right" with regards to a disabled, traumatized trans woman he personally underpaid for her work in the past. He didn't actually quote anything she actually said, he quoted the regurgitated and vague idea of what Kiwifarms says she might have said.
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH HONEYS!👩🏾❤️💋👩🏾🏳️🌈✨
The claim of having an incest kink because you were sexually abused my your sister is ridiculous. I didn't develop a kink for cnc because I was assaulted, I developed it because freaks on the internet told me, a naive and hurt teenager, that eroticizing trauma would make it easier to handle.
THERE IT IS! THERE IT FUCKING IS!
That's where this shit always fucking comes from. Assholes giving you bad advice because they don't want to have uncomfortable conversations with themselves, OR they don't want your presence to ruin their fun.
My dear nirei, so caring and protective of your friends, you shouldered them all, and you cared so damn much about the both of them. Protecting sakura, holding on to suo, keeping it all together. I wonder if you’re okay.
The universe really saw Hbomb being a transphobic shitheel and went "okay, gotta maintain equilibrium," and made Noah Gervais transfemme
awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like they’re gone. it’s the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
that’s not the whole flag, now is it
hey staff what the fuck
hey staff don't you think you're being too on-the-nose
HEY STAFF DONT YOU THINK YOU'RE BEING TOO ON-THE-NOSE
