“Hm, what are you…” Charles began to say, but was interrupted.
“Can you feel it, schatje? Can you feel my heart?” Max asked in a low and calm voice. Charles swallowed, looking at his own hand on that huge chest, before looking into the narrow blue eyes again. Determined, full of passion. They seemed to be on fire. “Do you understand now what I'm trying to say? Do you think there's anyone else in the world who can make my heart beat like this?” Charles's eyes filled with tears again. He closed them and sighed.

“I love you, Charles. I love you. Can you understand that?”
