Hello, carats. Itâs finally that time! Mingyuâs 20th is just around the corner, and International Carats ( ìží°ëŽì
ë ìșëżÂ ) want to do something really special for him as our first official birthday project! We decided to stick to the classics with this one, so weâve compiled four gifts we have planned to give.
Stickers - Mingyu loves making stickers (as seen in Seventeen Project: Debut Big Plan and also the lunch boxes provided for fans at ISAC), so weâd like to give him some. It will be a collaboration of various fanartists, along with one of our members Helen @jeung-hanâ. The fanart featured above of Mingyu holding the International Carat banner in his hands was made by Helen and this art will be the official icon for this project.
Cake - The birthday cake was designed by Nash @leewoojiâ and Helen @jeung-hanâ, which its final sketch will be revealed later.
Message book - This message book will be created with the help of all of you! We want this book to be filled with many messages from around the world that will truly represent what this fansite stands for. The message book will include:
Translated messages: Where you can send in messages in English and they will then be translated to Korean by our translators. Maximum 100 words.
Scanned messages: Where you personally handwrite messages yourselves, scan them and send them to us.
Fanart: Where you create fanart and send them to us.
Photos: Where you send us photos of yourself holding something Mingyu or Seventeen-related.
If you want to send any messages/fanarts/photos, do email them to [email protected] and please do title them with â[Message Book] Mingyuâs Birthday Projectâ. Also, please include your country in the email if you havenât already done so in your actual message.
Donation - Other fraction of funding will be donated to âPencils of Promiseâ, an organisation in which collects funding to build schools. Especially for those who have little to no access to education. We will be donating under Kim Mingyuâs name and a certificate will be given. For those who donate more than $50, youâll receive our fully customised Mingyu stickers. The same design and size we will send to Kim Mingyu himself! For others who donate less than $50 but more than $30, youâll also receive the same set of stickers in a smaller size!
