IT WAS STRANGE ; The palace was already getting crowded - meaning that countless people were more than willing to walk straight into the lion’s den. Including herself. A part of Laura already regretted her decision to come here ( she could not exactly claim to feel comfortable about the whole thing ), but the bigger part of her was fascinated by the beauty of it and she tried to ignore her concerns for the sake of having some fun tonight.

Speaking of which, she excused herself from a boring, slightly stiff conversation to turn toward a friendlier face. ❝Hi.❞ The angelic witch breathed to them, a smile on her lips. ❝This is… impressive, I have to say it. Are you enjoying yourself?❞

A humourless laugh left his lips at her question which should have been answer enough for her. There was no way he would trust anybody in this town -- the last time he visited here was to find out that Lexi was murdered. A disgruntled noise came from the now awake vampire, eyes blinking as he gaze focused in the dimly lit room. She was crashing on a couch, and as uncomfortable as it was she’d finally gotten to sleep. There wasn’t exactly much else to do when she was still only able to be outside once the sun went down, and now she was up she had even longer until that was possible. 

“You better have woken me up for a good reason.” she grumbled, scowling up at them shamelessly from her curled up position on the sofa.

A smile was on his lips lips when he stepped into the house and saw her sleeping peacefully on the couch. He considered leaving her be, maybe returning later on to see her, but he didn't want to leave and he hoped she wouldn't mind all too much to see that it was him who had woken her up from her nap. He pressed a kiss onto her hair, fingers stroking her cheek, kneeling down beside her as she stirred awake from his touch. “Yes, I do, actually.” he chuckled. “I got you something. Wake up, Sleeping Beauty.”
