Left behind at an anonymous library. The librarian kept it.
So many things!
One anonymous librarian says they found a lonely piece of beef jerky in the book drop of their current library.
At another library this same person found an entire unopened package of brand new silverware, and a damp pair of shorts. Yuck!
EW!
A librarian in Florida tells us she recently found an un-cashed check inside a book, possibly being used as a bookmark. A slightly less appropriate bookmark was the squashed banana the same librarian discovered in a different book.
Some people don’t quite get the concept of “library donations.” Libraries want you to donate books, DVDs, etc... not stress toys and golf balls like what was “donated” to one library in Texas.
In the book-drop of a library in Maryland. Nummy.
Found in the book drop of a library in Maryland. I have never seen one of these, but I am told it is called a Hedge Apple.
Found in the book-drop of a library at an undisclosed location.
Live bait.
A librarian at an undisclosed location tells us someone turned in a book today in which they used a LIVE FROG as a bookmark. She says “Its little head was sticking out of the top of a closed book. We thought it was dead until we saw the vocal sac move. O.M.G. then out to the garden he went! Traumatized, but OK!”
At least the poor little thing lived!
It’s been in the lost and found at a library in Wisconsin for three days. THROW IT AWAY GUYS!
The books at this North Dakota library are just extra friendly, I think.
"Donated" in an Arkansas library book drop. Yes, it's a bag of finger nails.
Um.... What is going on at their children's department of this Illinois library?
It did not make the book I found it in smell like fresh lemon though.
Found inside a library book. It was a John Grisham.
I don’t know which library this was found at but I do hope their trauma was dressed in another way!
Donated to a library in Arizona.
Aw. Well isn't this lovely!
