Don't Forget
Have we become so desensitized to this scene, or have we lost our value entirely?
Today, I went out to secure some food for my family. I don't want to talk about the high prices or the severe shortage of food supplies.
But what truly breaks my heart is the bombing of civilians in a school in the Nuseirat area, where many martyrs fell, most of them children and women. How long will this situation continue?
How long will we keep waiting? We need a radical solution. We are running out of strength to endure this.
I am Mahmoud, I am 24 years old, but in the last 7 months, I have become like ⦠Mahmoud Ziad needs your support for Support Mahmoud's Family

This looks like a fucking parody post, or an edgy edit, but itās 100% official real Flintstones.
Clarification: I donāt hate this book, I love it, itās amazing. Itās just that taking a step back and looking it out of context is still really funny. Especially the lineĀ āWe participated in a genocide, Barney.ā
ok but imagine them in their cartoon forms saying this dialogue iām
can we have some context to this, perhaps?
Bedrock is having a mayoral election. One of the candidates is a violent war mongering asshole that riles people up against the lizard people. This reminds Fred and Barney of their time in the army.
Back then the father of said violent candidate was riling people up against theĀ ātree peopleā. Fred, Barney, and other soldiers fought what they believed to be a defensive measure against the tree people. Turns out, it was actually an invasion, in order to kill off the tree people and take over their forest to build Bedrock.
Thatās what Fred means when he says he and Barney participated in a genocide. They literally did.
(Extra fun fact, Barney adopted a tree person baby after the war, and his son Bamm-Bamm is the last tree person.)
just fucking read it

There are a lot of interesting things about this post but the AK-47 shaped spear is what really got me
This is just as wild with the context
Some of my favorite moments in the series

Since Palestinian Tatreez has been officially added to the United Nations (UNESCO) cultural heritage list, I wanted to share a bit more about Tatreez and my culture.Ā
(Photo of Palestinian women embroidering Tatreez inĀ qalandia refugee camp)
Palestinian Tatreez is a type of traditional embroidery passed down from generation to generation which is often worn on our traditional thobes, the patterns within Tatreez symbolize stages of life and of which village/city/region in Palestine a person might be from. The practice originated in Palestine and is around 3,000 years old. Here are some pictures of our traditional thobes with Tatreez embroidery:Ā
Today, Palestinian Tatreez holds importance within our culture as a symbol of resistance after the Nakba, when many Palestinians were forcefully removed from their homes and villages - Palestinian women still wore their thobes, many of which represented the villages they are from within the embroidery (or of villages that no longer exist, an estimated 530 of them were destroyedĀ in 1948).Ā
When buying Palestinian Tatreez, please ensure you are buying from Palestinian embroiders and Palestinian owned businesses! Tatreez (along with the Palestinian Keffiyeh) has often been appropriated and stolen by Israeli companies - one such instance was Palestinian Bedouin Women had an embroidered thobe taken and used by an Israeli Designer to fund Jewish settlements in NegevĀ or stolen Palestinian dresses being for sale in Israeli auctionsĀ (Because ,Once established, the state of Israel co-opted Palestinian culture ,including Tatreez, to perform history and indigeneity).
There are plenty of sites that sell Tatreez (like Handmade in Palestine) and buying Tatreez from Palestinian creators is an excellent show of cultural appreciation and supporting the Palestinian movement and I heavily encourage sharing about Palestinian Tatreez - Thank you for reading <3Ā

Not enough people here on tumblr are talking about this movie but the director built the entire studio from ground up for this work of art. It's ten years of effort put in by animators, artists, and musicians. It is an ANTI-WAR film with beautiful metaphors and transitions and dialogue. It is an entirely HAND-DRAWN animated film in a country where animation didn't even have the scope before.
The themes of the movie accurately depict even the current world events and the story itself is also very sweet.
The director of this movie was very inspired by Studio Ghibli. Please please make sure to watch the movie as well as the documentary of the making of this film when it comes out in other countries because it makes you feel like you can do anything and achieve any goal no matter how impossible it seems.
ALSO, the director named Mano Animation Studios after his CAT!!!!!!
They're in dire need for NOMAD esims in Gaza! Please refer to the website on how to buy esims

Law breathes heavily above your smaller frame, his hands gripping your hips as he let out heavy yet dry and hoarse breaths of exhaustion. Both of your bodies were sticky with sweat but you were nearly out of it and tired out for the night.
