Through magic or time dilation or *hand wave dont think about it too hard* the deceased family of Justice Leaguers have appeared on the Watchtower. Its only for a few hours and only one family at a time but theyre there. John and Mary Grayson are so proud of their little Robin. Jor-El and Lara get to call Ma and Pa Kent and thank them for loving their baby boy, for helping him be the kind of man they had hoped he would be. Roy, J'onn, Dinah, everyone getting time with the people they lost, getting to hear how proud they've made the people they've been fighting for. As the hours go on Batman stands in the corner of the room as he has been since this started. Hes watched every joyful reunion, every bittersweet goodbye. He knows itll be his turn soon. He tries not to feel excited but how can he not. The little boy that never left crime alley is awake in his heart, eager to see his mom and dad again, to tell them about their grandkids, about all hes done for Gotham, what hes done For Them. Finally, when hes the last one remaining, the moment comes. Thomas and Martha Wayne stand in the Watchtower. Bruce steps forward. The cowl comes off and...theyre angry. This isn't what they wanted for him. To be some creature of the night while making a fool of himself in the daylight. Brucie Wayne is an insult to their memory, and so is Batman, they say. They never wanted their legacy to be one of so much pain and darkness. They had hoped their boy could heal from his pain and go on to help others like his father, but instead hes thrown away his future in some childish attempt to be Zorro or the Gray Ghost. Bruce is crushed. The cowl goes back on and Batman walks away.
