Tump dies tonight while giving his speech in the hot hot sun. Like to charge, reblog to cast
just casually leaving this here for no particular reason
You know what? Fuck it I'm adding more context. Sesame Street has talked about the topic of death more than once and it's done with such gentle carefulness without watering down or censoring the heaviness of the situations. It treats heavy subject matter with respect and dignity and has been for DECADES. From the early 1980s:
To 2025:
Hell, they even cover the devastating heaviness of MASS SHOOTINGS without censoring or watering anything down.
They've been doing this for YEARS, and it's ALWAYS handled with dignity, respect, seriousness, understanding, and love.
Whenever I see people censoring words because it "might offend" someone or the big ad companies that are currently trying to run everything? I just want to say to them: "What? Is Sesame Street too mature for you?" Because really...what the hell are we doing.
I'm back with even more examples! Sesame Street once again to this day is out here handling extremely difficult subject matter with incredible care and respect. "We can't let kids learn about uncomfortable things!" Oh, really now? Even though they're things that happen in everyday life that they'll face one day at some point anyway? Interesting. Let's see what else this show has covered that people (for some reason) think should be avoided and hidden. Here's more on death of loved ones and greif:
Or how about when someone is put into the foster care system because their home isn't safe anymore and their needs aren't being met?
Maybe some discussions about group therapy/getting help and support?
Hey look! Here's a segment about gender expression vs taught expectation, including unlearning harmful biases and what to do when you hurt someone on accident because you didn't know it was wrong!
Look! The topic of race and diversity! The importance of unity and equity!
They even also have a more allegorical take on discrimination and being looked down on for who you are, featuring Big Bird. The conflict is about how he's not being let into a club because the one bird running the club personally decided he didn't want someone like Big Bird there.
Big Bird goes out of his way to keep changing parts of himself in order to "prove" he can fit into this club if he just changed enough. The truth comes out though, and there's nothing he can do to gain the approval of that bird. He will never be good enough in his eyes, and Big Bird starts to hate himself. His real friends see this finally put their feet down, emphasizing that you should never change yourself just to fit into one singular narrow idea someone else has.
There's A LOT of different situations this can be an allegory for. Racism, sexism, homophobia, basically ANY form of exclusion is put on full blast in this 15 minute clip. Sesame Street can be both blunt and allegorical when approaching difficult topics, and it NEVER misses or looses the point.
It does an exceptional job in both styles of representation WITHOUT watering anything down. The more sanitized everything gets, the more radical Sesame Street is suddenly considered, hence why so many "particular groups" want it gone. Hmmm! I can only imagine why that could be, in this current political climate! (I'm being sarcastic)
When Sesame Street is suddenly labeled as "questionable" or "politically/agenda motivated" content...it says A LOT about where we currently are and who gets to decide what's "best" for kids or not. Don't fall for the censorship and topic-dodging excuses that are covered by the "But think of the children!!!" movement. Never fall for it, because you know which side you're on if you do.
Sesame Street proves kids can be taught and trusted with learning about these topics when it's handled with the right amount of understanding and care. It shows what all this "controversy" is all really about. What it's always been about, actually.
Don't fall for it, always side with Sesame Street.
Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people
please keep talking about how Becky from Maryland doesn't like the rising gas prices. It's clearly the more pressing issue.
USA folks, that is a consistent temperature range hitting 113°. Death Valley temperatures. In Banda, it hovered between 116°-118° (47°-48° C) for a week straight.
This has been happening all month with little to no international media attention. Here are a few organizations you can check out for resources or to support:
ActionAid India
SEEDS India
GlobalGiving
Raise India (Project Tapan)
Learning this was an intentional genocide changed me.
I know most of those following me know this, but just to make it super clear. An Gorta MĂłr (The Great Hunger/the Great Famine) was a deliberate genocide of the Irish people. There was enough food grown in Ireland to make sure everyone was alive and healthy and survived. Instead it was exported, sent to England and elsewhere for profit while men, women, and children starved in the streets. While the English landlords fucked off and evicted starving families who couldnât afford rent. While babies were too weak to cry and died at the side of the road.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. And we owe so much thanks to the other oppressed peoples, in particular the Choctaw Nation and the Masai, who sent money and grain to us.
Let me repeat that. The Choctaw Nation who had just gone through the Trail of Tears sent us money to try save Irish lives. Itâs led to an understanding between Irish people and Native American tribes, most recently when we donated to the Navajo and Hopi fundraisers for COVID-19 relief, because while it may be a different tribe, Irish people will never forget those who helped us and weâll help back.
The entire population of the island is less than seven million people. Weâre still a million less on this island than pre famine. And itâs not that long ago. My grandmotherâs grandparents lived through it. Weâve told the stories, it literally changed the DNA of the country. We have a national fear of renting, because so many people were evicted. People joke about Irish people always offering loads of food, but itâs because thereâs that cultural memory of not being able to.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. We will not let them take our lives, we will not let them take our language. We lost so much, but we will not lose it all.
This is why I get so angry when people say âit was the potato famine, it was because of monoculture/microbes.â
Nope. The potatoes were the only thing Irish people were allowed to fucking eat, because as pointed out, the rest of the crops they were growing were for their landlords to ship to England. So when the one âworthlessâ crop they were allowed to eat rotted in the field, the English crown, empire, landlords, all shrugged and carried on. People starved to death lying next to productive fields.
never kill yourself because one day miniminuteman will actually post the atlantis video and they dont have youtube in the afterlife
Lesbian snek, the winner of the poll!

the corruption?
while i wouldn't say i find listening to someone descend into madness over the span of 2-3 hrs due to being presented with unbearable stupidity entertaining, Milo Rossi.
they seriously expected us to worship cops & soldiers when street cleaners and sanitation workers exist? fuck off i know who my heroes are
Like a month ago I messaged a craft group about accessibility for wheelchairs and the answer I got was âthereâs a lot of stairs but we have cute boys who can carry youâ. And itâsâŠnot good. As a wheelchair bound person I largely depend on people when I want to go out and do *anything* so Iâm used to it, I laugh it off, make an annoyed post about it and off I go. But I wanna just say a thing real quick.
Even if I wasnât gay, wasnât a survivor scared of men, getting help as a disabled person is justâŠNot a pleasant thing to us! Imagine for a sec how youâd feel being carried up a flight of stairs. Youâre a grown person. Youâre being touched in an awkward way. Youâd rather do it yourself. Youâre So Uncomfortable. Itâs not where I look for the beginning of a romantic relationship. So likeâŠcould abled people stop doing this thing where they think helping us in a condescending and infantilizing way is cute? Cause Iâm real tired. Just get me a ramp or lift and Iâm cool. I donât need a dating service when Iâm just trying to go about my day
If youâre abled please reblog it cause likeâŠthe more ppl knows the better
Reblogging to boost signal
(Also, people who use wheelchairs are not the only people who have problems with stairs - anyone whoâs using a cane, or crutches, or who just has dodgy knees is gonna wish you had access to a lift, a ramp, or some other place to meet).
just watched the proshot for TGWDLM:R and oh my god??? initial (spoiler-free) thoughts
jon has improved so much since the originalâhis voice was great before, itâs absolutely incredible now
lauren and james knocked it OUT OF THE PARK with the directing and choreographyâabsolutely incredible.
will branner as professor hidgens is absolutely incredible. his performance is perfect. truly matches the description of âkooky and reclusiveâ. and so different from max in NPMDâi knew he had range but to see it is another story.
all in all highly recommend either purchasing or renting the proshot to support these incredible performers and crewâand donât forget that if you canât or donât want to support monetarily, the proshot will be available for free on youtube july 4!
If Christina Koch went to the moon, I can do this assigment, I can make that phone call, I can try snowboarding for the first time, I can finish this reaserch paper, I can study for that exam, I can get out of bed with a little more wonder. If she could go to the moon, I can do anything.
Open Arms Reactions on youtube is a channel that I watch weekly (and watched every work day at one point as I caught up) that's gonna end this week, and I wanted to give it a little sendoff c:
@officialmortius @imcasperfox thanks for all the fun! Best of luck on y'all's solo careers!
I have never done something to this scale, so even though I had a base to go off of, it was still something I learned a lot from as I went along. I think you can spot the moment I decided to go from 'I'll just do the key poses so at least the actions will be clear, even if they're not smooth' to 'screw it, let's go crazy, let's do this thing fame by frame!!' đ
I have no animation program so all of these were drawn frame by frame and then put together in a video editing software. And I'm told this is a fun fact that makes people's hands hurt but- I draw everything with a mouse! (I'm ok, I make sure to do stretches. Plus I didn't do it all at once, for these 4 months ive been doing 3 frames per day, every day, save for Sundays (usually) and also on Fridays and Saturdays I'd often do more than 3 frames to ensure I'd at least have a second of animation done per week)
This was a lot of fun but WHOOF do I look forward to having time to draw other things now! Hope you enjoy! I know it'd be better quality if it was on youtube, but I'm pretty sure Disney would strike me down for the audio
I filled all the scenes with little easter eggs related to the channel. And keep your eyes peeled, the various codes in this may no longer be the same ones you remember from the original đ
OH MY GOD THIS IS SO COOL I LOVE OAR I LOVE GRAVITY FALLS PEAK PEAK PEAK
