Happy Turnabout Serenade!! 🎉🎉 I rlly like this case, and i missed both turnabout corner and turnabout trump, so i really wanted to make smth for serenade ^^ more versions/progress shots, close ups, and yapping under cut

Spoilers for Natsume Yuujinchou Season 5 Episode 4:

Probably the only thing Natori has done to truly piss me off is

ripping up the letter from Matoba. He might be protecting Natsume, sure, but he made that choice FOR Natsume, which... be there when the kid reads it, maybe, but don't destroy it outright!

(Part of my irritation has nothing to do with canon and everything to do with not learning what might have been contained therein, especially since I have a sneaking suspicion that Natsume's heritage includes an exorcist somewhere.)

Anyway, I think that moment was a brilliant bit of characterization. We the viewers have come to trust Natori a bit over the past several seasons, but his altered behavior towards Natsume does not diminish his personal agenda in the slightest. He WILL reinforce his 'prior claim' on Natsume when a more powerful rival rocks up to recruit the kid and call it protection.

Ok so I've decided my AU Raph isn't angsty enough, and I changed his backstory a little bit

Instead of immediately being found by the foot clan he spends the first couple of years in the sewers. Surviving off of instinct and his mutant durability he grows up genuinely feral. Almost chewed off the brutes arm the first time he picked him up (hence the muzzle).

The Foot slowly trained him to behave like a person and teach him how to control his strength. Unfortunately The Foot's insurance doesn't cover for mutant therapy, so a lot of Raph's underlying issues don't get addressed. He might've mastered controlling his body, but his mind is a complete mess.

He's terrified of hurting someone he cares about, so he keeps his distance from people, at least physically. He wants to be gentle, but he was never taught how to.

Raph has accidentally hurt people before (but mostly he does it on purpose). A lot of his toys end up getting ripped in some way or another, but he tries his best to stitch them together.
