nothing is more satisfying than knowing someone will be with you through thick and thin
Doubt
Doubt will get you every single time.
It will come in, it will look into your eyes and steal the sparkle right out of them without blinking. Everything around you becomes a little duller. The days start to melt together and all of the sudden you feel your veins become puppet strings. Your blankets feel safer and safer, like a magical barrier from all the dread of the real world. You hold on to every little crumpled piece of reassurance you can, as though if the wind catches it, you’ll surely follow. I can think of nothing that breaks a heart faster than seeing bright eyes dim.
Be patient with yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
Be kind to others.
Keep going.
Don’t let doubt bury your heart alive.
That which sparkles your eye is a light that deserves to live and breathe. It deserves your allegiance and the devotion it gives back to you.
Go forward with wildly desirous eyes and a panting heart.
You will get there.
You don’t ever have to feel guilty about removing toxic people from your life. It doesn’t matter whether someone is a relative, romantic interest, employer, childhood friend, or a new acquaintance - you don’t have to make room for people who cause you pain or make you feel small. It’s one thing if a person owns up to their behaviour and makes an effort to change. But if a person disregards your feelings, ignores your boundaries, and “continues” to treat you in a harmful way, they need to go.
