seeing Mike Wheeler get the bad ending almost makes me want to actually come out for real just so I don't end up miserable like his stupid ass. like his ending was genuinely a look into MY future if I don't get my act together.

for the past decade I have been hiding my transness out of fear, and I have always considered giving up and living the rest of my life as the woman that I never was.

this definitely isn't the message that the duffers were trying to portray, but if You, The Reader, have had a similar experience, know that you're not alone. it's never too late.

seeing my friends getting treatment for adhd / anxiety and doing better because of it has left me feeling really jealous

but im beginning to realise it's because i want a 'miracle' treatment that'll make me just feel better too

#i grew up in a household where you never took meds unless you had a high fever you never missed school unless you were seriously ill #to the point where i was having truly debilitating migraines and my mother still discouraged me from getting on meds #and that shit's stuck with me yknow?#i often find myself thinking about how little dysphoria i have #esp when i compare myself to other trans people #i spend so much time diminishing my discomfort that i forget it's ///still uncomfortable///#and if there's a way to treat it #why not?#(side note in the end i didnt /need/ to take those meds)#(i have seriously improved since i was first diagnosed two+ years ago)#(to the point where im actually having /fewer/ migraines than before my condition manifested)#(but i consider myself among the very lucky of those who have my condition given that it's basically gone away on its own)

debating if it's even worth trying to transition abroad. just got my uni email and it has my full name in it. was hoping it would be a first initial last name deal but nope. first name.last name.

christ they make it hard. i don't know if i have the energy to fight for this

addendum. they actually make it ridiculously easy. all i had to do was fill out a form and my name has been changed in every part of the system with no trace of my deadname anywhere. to the point where i have problems because my uni doesn't know my true name and my deadname are actually referring to the same person

sometimes i wonder if im autistic but then i do research and don't have half the signs. same with adhd. i take those online screenings or self assessments and every time i get exactly half the marks, score "borderline", or "show signs." i also struggle with like, remembering aspects of myself so it's hard to answer those questions correctly, especially if they are what feel "normal" for me. i feel like im in a gray area between neurodivergence and being neurotypical. i dont fully relate to either group. but it's been stressing me out because i struggle with things some people find easy and i want to know why my brain is like that.

#idk #just have to get that off my chest #context #i was hanging out with friends (literally all autistic or adhd or both) and felt like i was able to unmask for the first time #i caught myself rocking in my seat from excitement and not making eye contact and also speaking differently #but at the same time there were things my friends would do or say that would either frustrate me or be something i just dont relate to #i dunno this probably sounds bad #but i feel like i have the best understanding of social cues of my friends? but at the same time #i feel even more behind everyone else in my age group #it's taken until im twenty years old to learn how to small talk and have a conversation #and so much of the time i realise only after the fact that i forgot to hit the ball back into their court so to speak #i forget to ask follow up questions and end up only talking about myself #and then i feel guilty because i didnt carry the conversation correctly (and i WANTED to learn about the other person)#i just FORGET #but conversation doesnt come naturally to me #and im in a phase in life where for the first time smalltalk is really EASY. im a college student studying abroad....#idk. sort of a vent..

getting to that stage in life where i just feel like another cog in the machine. not to sound vaguely put out with life but what even is the point? im going to finish school and then work and then die, and sure there'll be lots of good things in between, im sure, but im just feeding into this endless machine where everyone is miserable and everything is terrible. and of course im going to try my best but the point still stands.
