wild to believe i created her design back in 2022 as just a random character i made while at a family gathering. i immediately fell in love with her design and used aspects from an old mermaid/elemental "manga" i made back in 2016. not only has my art style improved, but ive fleshed her out so much to the point she is probably the best (and technically oldest) oc ive ever had. so uh...thanks 2016 me ig?? if i ever find her og OG design when her name used be "crystal" i will definitely post it here

One of the many side characters in Elemental High! Syd is a lava elemental sophomore with confidence as low as it can possibly get. She gets easily startled and shy in social settings to the point where she practically shuts down under the pressure. Because she can’t express herself through words well, she turns to art as an outlet, but keeps on the down low to avoid attention.
