That moment when you're really tired and want to go to sleep, but your toddler just woke up from a 5 hour evening nap cause he only managed to sleep for ten minutes during the day. Every day and night is different and you have to be able to just roll with whatever comes up. Unfortunately many cannot afford to 'just roll' with their children as we live in a world of survival, where we are bound to schedules in our quest to survive - and so equally we force our children into schedules to make them fit our survival-style, oops, I mean 'life-style'. I am eternally grateful to be in a position where I have the means to adapt to support my child rather than forcing him to adapt to a life dominated by the need to secure our survival. We are back in Belgium, and luckily the weather has warmed up quite a bit since last time we were here. Cesar is enjoying some time in the dirt and sun after helping us clean up my parents' garden.

What kind of a freakydeaky #playground is this? This is a playground for the elderly, where each unit exercises different parts of the body in a gentle way. I first saw these type of sets around a children's playground and couldnt figure out how the hell a child would play with one of these, until i saw a group of seniors working out together. This is quite a nice point of consideration towards the elderly, where they can come together and strengthen their bodies in a fun and social way. I have only seen these in #Spain, i think they should start putting these in every country. #seniorplayground #elderlyplayground #playforyoungand old

Cesar has become a real #waveaddict, he keeps running off to the water to be crushed by the little waves that come in. When the waves are not so little I lift him up, but sometimes it's hard to estimate their impact so we've had some good splashes, and Cesar has been getting nice naps after his wave sessions. #baby #beachboy #torredelmar #seafun

Going for a #paseo around the fields of #Zafarraya, a little town in the #mountains of #Spain where my father grew up. Cesar is loving the walks - he will sometimes walk and run for more than an hour, say hi to everyone and point out all the lights and lamposts (he is.gojng through a light phase) before he is tired and we put him in the stroller

Driving through the curvy roads in the mountains and climbing altitudes can be a challenging experience with a toddler. We made the best of it with some #sticker time!

Cesar taking a break from walking. The sand was nice and warm, enjoyable to bury your feet in - so we decided to bury Cesar who was quite at ease with the whole process.

A #quakerparrot was foraging with some #pigeons by the beach. These quakers or #monkparakeets are not native to Spain, but after being imported from South America for the petindustry some feral colonies were established. Similarly in Belgium in have seen flocks of #ringnecks flying around which are actually native to central Africa and Indian region. Interesting to see how the #economy leaves nothing and no-one untouched

Cesar's first #beach #holiday in #Spain. He is enjoying the long walks on the beach and smiling and waving at everyone that comes along. Much different to tiny and cold Belgium. If only everyone was as #carefree as they are on holiday all the time, this world would be a much more fun place to grow up in for children.
