Can you please pray for my dad's health? My parents haven't told me everything, but there's something wrong, they're stressed and I assume he's doing examens to find out if it's cancer. Please pray for it to be something easy to solve. My mom is already cancer free, but her treatmeant is still not over, still not in the place to help someone go through a medical treatment. Please pray for it to be an easy issue to solve

The Virgin Adoring The Host.

Ingres made this small, jewellike devotional painting as a gift for his friend Louise Marcotte; she introduced the artist to Delphine Ramel, whom he married in 1852. The Virgin appears behind an altar table, flanked by two saints in adoration of the Eucharist. The composition pays homage to the long tradition of intimate paintings made for religious devotion, particularly the art of Raphael from the early 1500s.

I found out today that my old Priest’s cousin was hit by a car while walking across a crossing. She is in her 80s and the crash has caused devastating damage to her brain. She is alive, thank God, but she needs 24/7 care now and is no longer able to communicate. I am not sure of her name, but if you could pray for her and for the priest Fr Avraamy. He is understandably devastated and finding it hard to cope with.

Something about Our Lady of Guadalupe just speaks to me. The choice to appear to an Indigenous Mexican man rather than a Spanish colonist. The way this factors into the initial disbelief when Juan Diego shares what he has seen— the subtext of the Blessed Virgin wouldn't appear to someone like you. The fact she appears as Indigenous and pregnant, identifying herself with the oppressed. "Am I not here, I who am your mother?"

As we head into the final trimester, please pray that everything goes well for the birth of my daughter for both of us and that my husband can please, please, please get a job back here at home. I am almost always screaming with the pressure of my unexpected unemployment, pregnancy, and the fact he is in California- which is a huge emotional and financial burden.
