I dont have a life so I post on tumblr instead
I dislike the tumblr algorithm mostly because when I like a political post because I agreed with it, it keeps showing me more political posts. Like what. No. Just because I agree doesn’t make it any more pleasant. Stop that
Fuck since it’s pride month I should write pride month themed stuff for my characters it’s genius
Oh and maybe like. Go to bed
You know when people say “keep an open mind” they don’t just mean towards like, gay or autistic people. It’s for people you think are really weird too.
Most people don’t have a great opinion of therians, people with odd kinks, people who dress up in plastic anime helmets for fun, or psychopaths and narcissists, just to name examples that come to the top of my head. You have to be willing to hear people out on their opinions and thoughts, try to see it from their perspective. And sure, it might still be weird in the end but other times you gain a new understanding of something, and even better you might learn to accept and love a whole new group of people. Because it the end we’re all people with brains and we don’t all think so different from one another, and we can’t all be freaks.
And also, this isn’t just going to be the examples I gave, or like someone who says that someone finding their kink weird means they’re homophobic because a lot of gay people like the kink too (actually saw this one). This could also be like, someone who uses neopronouns or has micro labels. Someone who isn’t totally politically correct. Someone who makes bad decisions. Someone who’s a bad person. We’re all human beings and it’s important to remember that
So I’m taking this class next year where we get to make comics, I know the final project is a three page comic of some sort, but that’s it. The requirements could literally be anything and I should not be getting my hopes up
Problem is I’m so excited for his class that I’ve already rough drafted out an entire comic and my god I’m just begging to disappoint myself
Hey come here. Yeah you.
here’s a fun fact for whenever you’re insecure in public. You know how everyone tells you that you don’t have to worry about strangers judging you an, because they’re too busy thinking about themselves to even notice you? Now if you believe that, good news! You can move on. (Seriously move on) If you don’t, I also have good news. You’re only half right in your assumptions
Yes for most people, your worries that everyone is judging you and staring at you are not true. However if you have something noticeable about you, like bright hair, a larger/thinner body, or some sort of visible disability/disability aid, etc, you’ve probably experienced people staring at you and the whole “it’s all in your head!” is pretty useless. But I have good news: just because they notice you, doesn’t mean they’re judging you. In fact, they probably won’t even remember you after you leave their sight line. Most people are completely neutral to the strangers they see, even if they have noticeable differences.
The only reason a normal stranger would have to judge you is if you specifically remind them of something negative. Everytime I’ve ever judged someone I see in public, it’s usually because they have a trait I myself have, and am insecure about. So I’m not thinking “ew they have that” I’m thinking “Jeese I hope that same thing that I have isn’t as noticeable on me.” That doesn’t mean I, or anyone else, think the trait is bad. Just because you remind them of their shitty uncle or their cellulite, doesn’t mean that they think of you in the same way they think of them.
So overall, the people in public you see staring at you for your wheelchair, or leg hair, or diabetes patch, or stutter, or whatever you have, are in all likelihood not staring because they hate it, they’re staring because it’s something to look at. Our own knowledge and insecurity corrupts our perception of others and feeds back into that fear.
Besides, they might just be staring at you because you’re pretty. You really have to think of your options

I can’t imagine GENUINELY hating a fictional character. Sure, disliking their character for bad writing? Yeah valid. Hating them for their actions?
Like I’ll hate a character for the bit right, or I’ll root against them and stuff. But if you are genuinely feel real hate when a character is on screen then either that’s just not a good character or you have something going on.
Like ok Jimmy from mouthwashing or Emporer Belos are two characters that certainly inspire tomato throwing, but I don’t feel real like. ACTUAL discomfort or disgust. Media is made to entertain and satisfy you (for the most part) and same goes for the antagonist even if you’re meant to root against them, making you feel bad is agasint the point.
