kinda a follow up from my earlier post but i think a very key bdubs trait is that he will believe in just about anything if he cares enough and when i say believe i mean commit so wholly that he will sacrifice his firstborn for it. so i do think it's funny to imagine him as a pinterest type girlie who is REALLY into astrology and knows everyones moon and rising signs and collects healing crystals and is generally insane. i think he would line up that one time he went missing in the jungle with his star chart and be like ohhh cuz venus was in retrograde i went crazy LOL that explains so much and nobody is willing to challenge him on it because its not worth the effort

xisuma keeps blocking the imports on his rose quartz healing gemstone packages because he feels like bdubs is two steps away from becoming part of a pyramid scheme but scar just starts filling the hole in the market with like painted rocks he found outside his base like bdubs these are SUPER healing crystals not the type youd get anywhere else. its going to fix your relationship. its going to blast your penis off. and bdubs absolutely does not believe him but he has all these diamonds set aside in the Healing Crystal part of his budgeting spreadsheet so he says absolutely your shittiness and buys them anyway. scar blows all the diamonds on an actual pyramid scheme that grian set up. when bdubs shows the fake rocks to cleo she encourages it because she thinks it's funny. etho also thinks it's real because bdubs says so and he doesn't care enough to form his own opinion but instead of keeping all the rocks bdubs gifts him he hides in the shopping district and throws them at passerbys. nobody is happy about any of this

now I'm going on a spiral thinking abt why Romero Richas would have thanked QForever for his decision...

Was it because he tried to keep Romero Richas' painting safe?

Was it because he grounded Richas?

Was it because he didn't listen to Richarlyson's explanation and dismissed his feelings, therefore making him even more panicked and afraid of the drawings because of his gut feeling against anything related to Romero Richas and his drawings?

Now, okay. I need to say this now. It's definitely NOT a "both sides are wrong" situation

Because Talullah should've never imposed THAT condition over the painting that Richas clearly was panicked to get. It was RICHAS' painting. And if he wanted it back but Talullah wanted to keep a painting, she could've bargained for Richas to paint her a new one

I understand Talullah, I know the painting also has meaning to her, but Richas was PLEADING for her to give to him. Over and over. It clearly was something that made him upset. And Talullah is older than Richas, but she also is used to throw tantrums with Phil and Chay and have her wishes be done (Server's princess, what can I say <3)

Her "deal" was too exaggerated for the situation, and Richas was too panicked to even fully comprehend what happened. He was confused after he burnt it and he wasn't allowed to see Talullah. He didn't understand how badly it was for her

Both of them are victims, but I do think Tallulah was the wrong one in this situation, and the adults didn't help by giving her reasoning while in front of Richas

the whole romero richas thing is really frustrating me. nobody seems to understand how richas feels about it: of course he hates the paintings, they terrify him because of what they represent. the paintings are a physical proof of what happens to him, proof that sometimes someone else controls his body. of course he wants to destroy them, if they don't exist he can convince himself it isn't happening, that he's always in control.

I get that some of them don't know it isn't richas: they just think it's richas sleepwalking and being embarrassed. but for those who know, I don't get how they don't understand how terrifying the thought of not being in control of your body is. especially cellbit, who has multiple days missing from his memory and no idea what the feds made him do during that.

it's so frustrating that they're downplaying this, going 'oh but they're so pretty, how could you hate them' HE DOESN'T HATE THE ART, HE HATES WHAT IT REPRESENTS!

yeah no, I checked and, we are still too deep in amatonormativity guys.

While I do understand the feeling, I’m getting kinda tired of my friends constantly whining about the fact that they have no partner. I’ve started to express the fact that a partner is not necessarily after coming out as aro, and I’ve been getting comments like: “Wow you’re suddenly the most aro person now.”

It has nothing to do with that. Being in the community just seriously changed my perspective.

Now, this brings me to today. I started to tell my friends (in a discord server) that they shouldn’t focus on finding a partner. That I understand the need of having one bc of how society deems we are unlovable if we don’t have one and yada yada.

That they should focus on making friends first, and those friendships can blossom into relationships. That they should focus on the love they already have from their friends, even if they aren’t loved in the way that they want.

Even if I am aro, I have been there before, and I completely understand what it feels like.

And while they did understand, I’m kinda hurt at the fact that having a friend love you just isn’t the same. Like it genuinely made me really sad. Because to me, it is. And see, this is what sucks about being the only aro in your friend group, because they will never view you the same way you view them.

I will be satisfied with their love. I will be satisfied with their presence.

But they will never be satisfied with mine. They can love me, but they will always wish for someone who provides more.

And that… sucks.

So yeah guys. Amatonormativity. Too deep into it. Let’s try again in 5-10 years.
