something debbie implanted into marks mind has to be sunday cleaning. mark would dread having to fold his clothes, wash his bed sheets every three weeks, scrub the floor on his hands and knees. he hated those tasks, but the repeated tasks that’s been placed since he was seven had helped the horrid work be more enjoyable throughout the years.

when you came into the picture, moving in with mark wasn’t as horrible as william made it out to be. william made it seem like mark was a filthy little thing who’d leave his underwear laying around. yet you were completely in shock that mark took sunday cleaning so seriously. you even joined in on cleaning the floors, but mark shooed you away, claiming—“i have a specific process i go through.” mark may be a little bit bossy when it comes to cleaning, but at least he’s not gross.

And that's a glimpse of Omni-Mark's origin story :3 His tv show counterpart is such an interesting case study of a Mark that was clearly inspired off of Omni-Man, so presumably he loved and idolized the man enough to don his attire... he's the most "dad-like" of the alternate Marks in that he doesn't like to swear, coaches the other Marks on teamwork and is mostly calm, quiet and reserved. But he killed his mom and hates his home? So there's some fun thought fodder there as to how that may have happened.

Anyway, this all started because I wanted to draw some Nolan and his very alien Viltrumite like way of thinking with hyperviolence as a form of showing love to your offspring clashing with the genuine and very human parental love he developed over time... I figured his heart slowly but surely got soft over the years, enough that it burst upon impact :)

One of my favorite headcanons for Sinister Mark is that he was always a little messed up even as a kid. His Nolan knew he had issues from the beginning and not only did nothing about it but actively made him worse, thinking that if he already had a cruel streak, it would be easier to make him loyal to Viltrum.

And it completely backfired on him because it turns out Sinister "Doesn't Give A Shit About Viltrum" either and just wants to kill people. Nolan has just enough time to realize what a monster he made before it puts him down for good.

you know what I just realized? You know how people say the eyes are the windows to the soul? Mark is literally the splitting image of Nolan, except for his eyes. He has his father’s face but his mother’s eyes. So many people see Nolan’s crimes on Mark, but not so many see his heart. I feel like Mark always had more of his mom’s heart than his father’s

Hot take. Main massage Invincible about toxic/positive masculinity will be work much better if Mark and Eve will be close friends/best friends. Society expects them to be a couple because he's a boy and she's a girl and they close to each other ("girls and boys can't be friends"), but they're becoming good friends and they really help each other
