we need to bring back old school tumblr communication and im so serious. sending an ask to a mutual just to say hello. seeing three different asks in your inbox all asking how your dentist appointment went. seeing a post you think one of your mutuals would enjoy and tagging them/sending it to them in the dms. nowadays its just silently liking a post or (if youre feeling extreme) replying under posts. This Steve Burns clip where he talks about the audience testing for Blue's Clues ("But when they showed them my tape and I was like, "Will you help me?" Kids were like, 'yes, we have to help this guy!!! Like, he needs me,' you know?") made me realize Steve is baby's first moe character.

He's just so endearingly helpless, kids immediately love him.

Honestly, I remember being about four and feeling offended by all the kid's shows with hosts that talk down to the audience in that ~special~ voice, like we were stupid, but Steve didn't do that. He was just soft-spoken and polite, but often missing obvious things... he acted like he needed help, so he was fun to watch. The calm intro music and Blue's cuteness definitely helped! It looked like a world made of felt and colourful cut-outs...

If anything, that's her logic behind knocking Blue's blocks down in the first place: Green likes knocking down blocks, she saw Blue playing with blocks, Green decided to knock it down and was probably standing there smiling and expecting Blue to do the same.

It's sort of like when she took Purple Kangaroo's book without asking and didn't even register it was mean: Green isn't a bully, she's just oblivious to how others feel at first.

@falconaut326 ik I'm almost a year late with this reply but that's EXACTLY why I love Green Puppy so much 🥹 she's just an autistic girly that needs to be told things directly, which is the lesson that Blue learns when she's introduced! and that is SUCH AN IMPORTANT LESSON FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN FOR ANYONE, BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THE SAKE OF AUTISTICS
