TICK TALK [Watchmaking masterclass] I was lucky enough to catch a #watchmaking #masterclass by Peter Speake-Marin of the eponymous Speake-Marin (or is it the other way around?), as part of Dubai Watch Week. I now possess some serious watchmaking street-cred (about as much as a #marmoset monkey with a wrench). Peter, on the other hand, is a consummate artist, as his work shows quite amply. This video shows the generic innards of a mechanical timepiece (not a Speake-Marin, let me be clear) that the class had to disassemble with bated breath and ham-fisted effort. Peter was undoubtedly sniggering on the inside.
