A few years ago, our dog, Izzy, was barely able to walk, had her back in a weird arch all the time, and was yelping and crying all the time.
We took her to the vet and they said she had a like, pebble-shaped calcium deposit thing in her spine and we had to have her take pain meds, eat special food, and sleep in a cage for the rest of her life, all of which was very expensive.
We fed her the pain med one time and she got better.
She’s been 100% better since.
We found out by looking around online that the vet flat out lied to us and that the pain meds they wanted us to buy were a huge scam in northern California.
We found out what actually happened was a raccoon bit Izzy on the back and her back hurt.
Just another story to file under “Ah, California.”
