No matter how thoroughly you smooth out the clay in the process of modeling,  be prepared to sand for a long time. Sometimes I spend a few hours sanding a doll. Eng/Rus👇🏻 Today I would like to say a few words about the search for creative ideas. In the creative process there is no perfect formula. Nobody will tell you “do it and you will have a million ideas and recognition as a bonus” :D What works for some people will be useless for others. But there are common concepts that you only need to customize for yourself and this will work for you. In fact, inspiration and ideas are all around us. Every object, story, sound can cause the spark that leads us to the idea. For example, I invented my doll “The Keeper of Pumpkin Secrets” after my mom told me about a funny incident that happened to her in the garden. One sunny autumn day she collected pumpkins and put them in a garden cart. When she raised one of the pumpkins, a field mouse ran out from under it, but the mouse did not run away. It stopped near my mother and looked at her indignantly. It turned out that next to the pumpkin was its hole and my mother a little covered the hole with earth when she cut the plant. Eng/Rus 👇🏻 Recently, I spoke with a very nice man from the USA, and he told me that he didn’t have the talent to create handmade things. It stuck in my head and didn’t give me rest. I often heard similar statements from different people and to be frank, I also never believed that I had a talent. I began to search my first works in the photo archive and, frankly, was amazed how my level and style changed in just a few years. I had no talent, no knowledge, and no skill when I started. I remember how hard I created my first dolls. I had no ideas; I was terribly scared to spoil everything and absolutely lacked the skill. Obviously, now I also can not say that I reached the maximum. It seems to me that the process of development in creativity never stops. I decided to make a small collage of two of my works, created with a difference of about three years. Perhaps this will inspire someone and instill confidence in their own strength. Just remember that with each new work, new idea, we become better and more confident; ideas begin to appear by themselves, and the hands are already able to bring them to life.
