hello i went to the parisian sewer museum today because the things i do for victor hugo are ridiculous (it was actually v interesting) and at one point there's a painting of jean valjean carrying marius through the sewers and the audioguide referred to it as "jean valjean carrying his injured friend" and i was just there like I THINK VALJEAN WOULD TAKE UMBRAGE WITH THIS DEPICTION OF THE SITUATION
