Wikipedia ought to have a way to nominate certain passages as being of special aesthetic or even simply nostalgic importance, and thus immune from being deleted from the page irrespective of encyclopedic merit. Anyway here's a sentence that used to be on Stephin Merritt's Wikipedia page (removed in March 2012) which sits in my mind as a Classic Wikipedia Sentence:
Other frequent motifs in his lyrics include the age 17, dancing, seasons (most often summer), youth, old age, cities (especially New York City and Paris), the moon, the sun, the stars, rain, the night, marriage, blue eyes, faces, trains and railroads, the road, crying, murder, drinking, musical instruments, and love.
