The premise (courtesy of @kaibacorpintern): what every character gets up to during the two week island beach house vacation.
1. Seto rents this huge house along a private beach. Mokuba makes sure the only tech that makes it on the trip are cell phones. The laptop and tablet are left at home.
2. The house was stocked with food ahead of their arrival. Unfortunately, Joey found the kitchen first, and after two days, they needed another grocery run. He wasn’t allowed in the kitchen again after that unless it was to prep cook.
3. Atem hangs out on the beach all day without sunscreen and doesn’t even burn. Everyone is jealous.
4. Téa and Serenity rent bikes and ride into the little coastal town.
5. Sand castle contests: who can build the best castle in 1 hour. It starts out as Seto + Mokuba vs Yugi + Atem vs Joey + Tristan vs Duke and Ryou with the girls judging. After Joey accidentally squishes part of his tower with his foot he ends up starting a “sandball” fight. No one emerges unscathed and all the castles end up destroyed.
6. Despite his disdain for sand (especially after their war), Seto goes back out with Mokuba later and they rebuilt their castle into a little empire.
7. In order to spend more time with Serenity, Tristan and Duke each conspire to bury the other in the sand. Joke’s on them, Téa buries them both and goes off picking shells with Serenity instead.
8. To everyone’s surprise, Joey is the master grill chef and uses it to bribe Seto for things. Ryou is the closeted foodie and comes up with new recipes for Joey to grill each night.
Joey: Bakura – I gotta make the best damn steak for Kaiba so he rents out the sailboat for us tomorrow (and also so I can get surfin’ lessons). It needs to be heavenly and taste like GOD HIMSELF made it.
Ryou: Put some pineapple on it.
Joey: YOU’RE A GENIUS
(Meanwhile, Mokuba had already rented out the boat while he was in town with Yugi and Atem,)
9. Ryou can also eat his body weight in pineapple and avocado .
10. The grill is used without fail everyday and no one gets tired of it.
11. Yugi’s favorite past time is snorkeling.
12. Seto and Ryou are the ones always sitting out on the beach under the umbrellas. Ryou, however will still be wearing long sleeves. Even w/ sunscreen, he’ll go from ghost straight to burn. Seto just hates the sun.
13. Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Duke, Téa, and Serenity set up a game of beach volleyball. Seto ref’d. Mokuba was there to ref Seto’s calls.
14. At night they would gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows. The only time Mokuba was able to eat his body weight in junk food and he did it by stealing everyone else’s marshmallows when they weren’t paying attention.
15. Duke and Tristan tried pushing each other off the boat when they went out sailing. They called a truce when Yugi almost ended up overboard, and they both got the severe stink-eye from Atem afterwards.
16. Atem would often stay out late each night and stargaze. Sometimes Ryou would join him.
17. Not far from their little corner of the beach was a public boardwalk complete with food stalls and carnival rides. They walked it from start to finish their last night before going home and Mokuba introduced Atem to funnel cake and boardwalk fries.
