today i have so much love for trans women
@ my last post: i forgot to mention like forever ago, but i got a big paycheck in july since i was damn near living at work for multiple weeks, and i used a bit of that as a late birthday gift to myself to buy a katana that i've been autistically hyperfixated on the design of for the past 10+ years now (along with a training sword of the same design/product line, for the sake of consistency)
i want to say "katana" with quotes since it's not a traditional design for like ¾ths of its setup (namely the guard, handle, and pommel), but yeah that didn't matter with a hyperfixation that old and severe influencing my decision. i'm trying to decide on the best way to wrap its handle before i take any photos of it, and while i have my heart set on a katate-maki (battle wrap) style, i have to research the life out of how to do that properly first, since that style evidently involves the use of glue on the handle and wrapping. i already know what menuki (handle decoration) i want to use on both sides of the wrap, which would display best with that "battle wrap" format, which is why i'm determined to do that one instead of a traditional diamond pattern the whole way down (i already used that style on the practice sword's handle minus any decorations, since that's not The Special One versus the actual katana).
think i'm mainly interested in both form work (hence the practice sword purchase) and target cutting with it once everything is set up properly. all of this is running off of past weapon training experience from my old tang soo do class, where every month we'd train with a different weapon, and the katana consistently proved to be my most favorite one to work with (so this is something else for me to do outside, versus being indoors all day on my days off). i'm most likely going to DIY build a target holding stand and use pool noodles with it, since pre-made target mat stands cost WAY too much for how easy they look to make, and i also don't want to start bleeding out money on target mats when pool noodles apparently work just as well for the same purpose.
anyway, it's almost 2 AM, and i have to be at work later. ramble completed— oh right yeah i forgot to mention. of course, i will be taking a selfie with the actual katana at some point after i get it finished up. can't be a proper Sword Trans Woman without one, after all. and yeah, i already have the perfect pose/scene setup in mind, but i'm forcing myself to keep that as a surprise from everyone else besides my own thoughts until i'm ready to pull it off.
okay yeah let me try to sleep now lmfao
i recently found out what the * * * that sometimes separates parts of a text is called and youre never gonna fucking believe it
talking to mutuals 1v1 after liking each others posts for 4 years
how the fuck could they possibly make a good zelda movie
it's really not hard to make a fun wahoo mario movie that passes the bar of acceptability, and they just about did it once, but then the sequel was catastrophically bad, which is kind of an achievement given how easy the task should have been. you can't fart out an acceptable high fantasy film though you just can't. the people you get to do it have to be at least 50x better at their craft than illumination
its so hot im sitting here with my shirt up over my tits like some kind of fucking perv or something

What city do you want to visit?
a. Chicago, to see Sunday on the Island of La Grande Jatte in person
b. New York City, to get drunk as hell with my sister
c. Tokyo cause I think it would surprise me in ways I can’t even anticipate
So are we noticing a pattern yet

Do I need to spell it out more
I just don't think it's transfeminist at all to only engage with something when it pertains to you or mentions a group that you're a part of! It feels like a betrayal and it aches to know that transfeminist spaces aren't safe for people like me. I want to have a sisterhood with you girls, but is this what sisters do? Not help the girls that they have the social power to step on?
I've lost count of how many instances I've seen one of my white followers obviously going through my blog and liking/reblogging posts about trans girls, but skipping over posts about racialized people! It doesn't stop hurting.
ive noticed this very thing on my own blog, from friends mutuals and random people alike. where the more generalized the post is the more engagement it has. reblogs likes replies, people discussing the topic and actually Engaging with the post. but the posts about being a black trans woman? the posts SPECIFICALLY ABOUT HOW I NOTICE DISCUSSIONS ON RACISM GETTING IGNORED?? fucking guess! i am so sick and tired of you people ignoring us. im used to the slurs and the abuse and the fear of living in this skin, but seeing a friend give barely a glance when i talk about anti blackness hurts so fucking bad. why dont you care?? why don't any of you care??? would you care if i told you ignore us is itself racist?? do i have to (RIGHTFULLY) call you racists for you to give a shit?

what’s your favorite movie and why?
I’m not much for movies. Obviously the ones that stick out are probably Primer, Southbound, or Hereditary since they’re the kind of arthouse horror I like.
Wait no, I’m lying. The answer is obvious. It’s Deadgirl (2008) without a doubt.
it's actually so fucked up that i don't have a girlfriend.
Wait, do you not at all?!?!?
“at all” is such funny phrasing to me. as if i might have a girlfriend but only a little bit
I mean, I thought you might have a harem of beautiful trans women following you around all the time!
I do, but none of them are my girlfriend
:(((((
Well... Y'know... That doesn't have to be the case.
are you asking me out via tumblr reblog
if i ever accidentally reblog a cis girl’s nudes it’s because i consider her an honorary transsexual
racist white canadians and europeans want you to believe the slave trade worked like this
it did not. it is public knowledge the slave trade worked like this
and in fighting antiblackness within canada and europe it is so so so important to acknowledge these places's participation in and benefit from the transantlantic slave trade. Slavery is not just the US's dirty past, it is a triangular industry lasting centuries that white people in the united states, canada, and europe benefitted from and continue to benefit from to this day. Slavery was good for white canadians and white europeans. They liked it. they encouraged it. they had slaves, they profited from the slave trade, and they used products grown from US slave labour in every day life. The slavery of Black people would not have been possible on the sheer scale at which it happened if it were not for active, consistent participation from europe and canada.
once you start having gay sex with your friend you’re never gonna wanna stop having more gay sex with your friend
Alright I guess I'd better address this
I was NOT in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963. I was nowhere near the state of Texas, let alone the city of Dallas, on November 22nd, 1963 and I can produce witnesses to account for my whereabouts. ANYONE who claims to have seen a woman fitting my description fleeing from Dallas, Texas on the day of November 22nd, 1963 like it says in the callout post is LYING.
I know vhat I saw.
You'll never prove I was in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963. Never!
what happened in Dallas Texas on November 22nd 1963?
Nothing, Johnny. Don't even worry about it.
