I have been thinking a lot about how at one point Cathy2 tells Heathcliff "Nobody loves you—nobody will cry for you when you die", and about how the book ends with Hareton sitting next to Heathcliff's corpse all night sobbing and then burying him the next day, and him being the only mourner there other than Nelly. And how shortly before Heathcliff dies, he talks about how Hareton looks like Catherine and compares him to her ghost.

the new wuthering heights movie promotional image feels like a bad sign for the direction of the movie but more importantly now i cant stop picturing cathy eating handfuls of grass and i think this is probably what she was doing the entire time when she spent all that time outdoors as a kid.
