Is anyone tired of Ahsoka’s entire existence being based around Anakin? Like yes, Anakin being her Master is significant but the way canon is going these days would make it seem like Ahsoka literally had no life or relations outside of Anakin. Like what about her relationship with Plo Koon? What about Obi-Wan? Yoda? BARRISS?! Like Ahsoka had MANY relationships outside of Anakin and has spent more time away from him than with him as his apprentice. Ahsoka is her own woman who has her own unique fighting style, her own set of talents, her own experience, etc. But no all she’s ever seen is “Anakin’s apprentice.” Like Thrawn only sees her as a threat because Anakin was her Master. Baylan’s only source of taunting Ahsoka was bringing up Anakin. Like it’s non stop and it’s like did Dave forget that Ahsoka is way more than that or…? I’m just personally tired of it. I didn’t grow to love Ahsoka because she’s Anakin’s Padawan, I grew to love Ahsoka because she’s AHSOKA!

Like I love Anakin but sometimes he feels like a black hole for Ahsoka. It's so reductive to have her only worth be connected to a man who ended up trying to kill her.

It also gives kinda sexist vibes tbh. Like that's her only cred in the galaxy is her connection to this dude. Despite the fact that she was a signficant part of the Rebellion and a multiple Mandalorian beheader, the name Ahsoka Tano isn't feared in her own right.

I'm so glad the star wars community did not overstate the delight that is Eli Vanto. He's a nerd. He's a hick. He has an incredibly useful degree and no way to apply it. He' so angry all the time. Cannot stress enough the nerd part or the angry part. He's highkey a terrible person. He got headhunted right out of college with no way to turn it down so now he's professionally stuck being the Little Guy for one of the most terrifying strategists in the galaxy. His interests include shipping manifests and excel spreadsheets. He's a walking cautionary tale on the dangers of becoming important at your job. He regularly thinks about committing treason.
