To Cut A Daffodil
By all accounts, he was still very green. One of many seen to flourish with spring in their step.At this time, narcissus a fitting name, seen earlier that day - corona intact..all is for his own experience. He was said to have swayed ever so slightly, the breeze a welcome recourse in an effort to traverse the heat of the day. That evening he returned to the ground. The excuse? The old ‘long, hot summer’ trope.Insects crawl.Maggots, mites and beetles. This return, not a retraction but a forced state brought about by an external action. His bulb will not sprout again. He won’t be the last.

Incongruous by nature, apart though technically a part of myriad societal constructs. I choose to take my partition’s position as seriously as my significance..
I look upward - expansive, temperamental, intangible. You remind me of my insignificance. I draw power from that understanding.. I mean nothing. What I do doesn’t matter. I can do anything.

I’m as used as I can be to seeing the pep haired man with a child like air prone to outbursts in his patched clothes. I was used to seeing Moses; bright, flamboyant assortment of garments, top hat on head, spittle on side of mouth, occasional intelligible sentences flowing.. I’m not sure where he is now..if he is. When I was 15 I stood waiting for friends outside an ice-rink. I saw a woman with a Tupperwear container walk to another woman and pour out the slushy contents of faeces and urine over her head, then rave as if she herself had been attacked. My eyes still glisten under florescent light as I look out on my people from the top floor of buses. It’s okay though, in 10 minutes I’ll see only penthouses, glass and white pillars.

#21 'Potential (the light will wait)'
I have a recurring vision.
There is a space. I would say a hallway or room but it’s black, the kind of impenetrable, enclosing black only ever really seen in nightmares. The kind that snatches at parts of you, that takes pieces of you unto itself.
Beyond..or within..or without and spreading a hole in this black is a very simple, but sturdy, large brown door with a knob of entwined gold and wood. A sliver of light surrounds its edges.
At first I think I have walked up to and opened this door; that the only obstacle is turning that gilded sphere. I soon find myself snapped back to my original position inside of this metaphor masquerading as reality and see that no, I can no more turn the knob than I can see into this darkness around me.
At this point the knowledge of how to open and pass through to what lays beyond the door is imparted to me. The understanding that I must explore the darkness, explore its depths and learn to exist within it before I can move on. The door will remain, I must grow stronger, grow more erudite before that knob of gold and wood will turn for me.
The light will wait.

Take responsibility for your actions. Take responsibility for your perceptions. Take responsibility for your opinions. You are not only a product of your environment, you are also a product of yourself.

That we label the behaviours we view as beneath us ‘childish’ is an affront to our progeny. Those who will inherit our successes, failures and burdens alike must not follow along the path that lead to all the views we now seek to change.
That we call behaviours ever prevalent in our adult years ‘childish’, is to label the state of youth unwelcome whilst distancing that behaviour from our decisions in seniority.
When curiosity, adaptability and joy are strongest and most pure in our earlier years, why are these not the behaviours we most firmly associate with them?
When we are born we have need and desire; as we grow these splinter into jealousy, lust, anger and dominion..
‘If you were still a child you would likely learn from your mistakes. As you are now, steeped in the drying cement of ‘your ways’, fully grown ego silhouetted before the door of further development; adaptation is a difficult path. The children of today learn what you never will but could..were you more like they are.’

I will praise you whether you are a boy or girl or else. I will teach you all I know so that you may surpass me in knowledge. I will teach you how you are different I will teach you to see why that is good. I will teach you that I have faults so you can learn that we all do. I will show you beauty and that it can be found in places i’ve not thought to look. I will teach you to love learning so that you never think to stop. If you are a boy, I will teach you that women bleed each month for the sake of humanity If you are a girl I will teach the same. If you are a girl, I will teach you that strength is found in silence, loudness, a smile or tears If you are a boy I will teach the same. I will teach you of your heritage, your ancestry, its importance to others and how you are not beholden to it if you wish not to be. I will explain freedom, I will explain greatness, I will explain how inexplicably difficult it is to explain love and I will encourage you to find out what they mean to you. I will teach you who I am so you can learn who you are.

There is no love greater than the love between them. They. [Insert pronoun] & [Insert pronoun]. Their love will be written and awed and told of throughout the ages. Their love is eternal. The love between them.

Self perception is a world breaker, It has broken our world. Implanted and constructed, scooping out chunks of reality to better fit Whilst leaving space to grow demons.
Self perception is a world changer, It can heal our world. Cultivated through introspection, acceptance and responsibility. Open and unlimited in its scope United in knowledge of our shared individuality.

Catering to the weakness in others to my own detriment. Does that make me weaker, or stronger than them?
People confuse realism with pessimism. In reality, good things happen too.

There is a difference between loving yourself And being complete. The illusive and mystical Often fabled, some say mythical Completion of You or I Holds no part of the person Who loves yet strives to improve Themself. -L.F.E || #15/Thyself

They asked if I was looking for my other half, I replied;
An other half? No. You see I am a whole Me, And She A whole Her. We are but two together, Yet far more than one apart.

I love hard. I love long. I love too long for even me. I love to my own detriment. I love till you’re suffocated. I love to the point you can’t help but feel special. I love to the point you can’t help but feel guilty. You don’t love like I love. I love when reason has gotten tired of my foolishness. I love when it’s too soon so I have to watch my words to keep the secret. I love like those two Italian kids…though probably in a more realistic time frame. I love before I love so I know when I’m going to love. I love that I love.. sometimes it gets tiring.
