Also, main thing I've noticed since socially transitioning to femme adjacent presentation is that people just decide they can butt in and talk to me all friendly like Mostly old white men, but also just everybody
For me only theory, cause theory more broadly is normative nastiness
Mmm, reading for a class and it just solidified a thing I've been thinking about that's probably pretty obvious Solidarity (or mutual support etc.) has to be about a specific symptom of oppression that operates analogously for the various marginalized people it effects. Or trying to make it more accessible, the reason solidarity only works for one shitty thing at a time is that of course you can't do everything that's needed in a single action Feel kind of weird that I only got that now That said, total opposition to all forms of oppression still remains the ideal for me
yeah, my week really isn't complete without some transgender dysphoria blues...
the only reason that  âcis is normalâ is because of white supremacist European colonists committing genocide on indigenous natives to eradicate non-binary genders to implement a dichotomy labeling system of âthis or thatâ btw
Source, btw
Just a reminder if youâre against trans people youâre literally a pro-colonization, racist. Youâre saying your rudimentary grasp on gender is somehow, more, or more real than the concepts of gender that indigenous peoples had before white colonists came over and eradicated those ways. SooooâŠ
This is true! In general, implications that western male-female binary is the ârealâ or ânaturalâ gender construction is inherently flawed, and inherently racist. Some more examples of gender variation outside of Western cultures is the Bugi people of Indonesia (who recognize 5 different genders), and the Hijra of South Asia (who are a recognized 3rd gender). Many many similar examples and variations of these identities exist all across non-white societies.Â
My name is Michelle. Iâm a black, trans woman living in the middle of rural Virginia. Visibility is rarely an option for me. But online at least, I get to be myself. And since I am visible here, I want to do something worthwhile with my  visibility. Otherwise, what is it for?
My girlfriends, two people whom I love more than words can express, have been in a dire living situation the last few months. Theyâre stuck in a toxic environment with barely enough money to get by. Weâve been trying to raise donations to get them into a new home where they will be safer, healthier, and happier.Â
The longer it takes for them to find a new home, the harder it will be for us to make the move. Every month they have to stay in their current apartment is chipping away at their savings. If we can reach our donation goal on Youcaring by April 15th, then weâll have everything we need to make this a reality. Please boost, and please donate if you can. Even small donations add up and make a big difference.

Thank you.

Cut the borders!
Go anarchists!!!
When the system changes in response to the activistsâ stick, credit often goes to the carrot.
So thereâs this thing that I see repeating over and over:
Often respectable non-violent activist groups who speak to power in a civilized manner get no where for decades because the system doesnât need to listen to them, because it loses nothing from ignoring them.Â
But then a radical activist group shows up who are prepared to just burn the system down. And then suddenly listening to that reasonable non-violent group becomes very attractive to those in power. Â Â
And the non-violent group will always claim that their non-violence was what changed the system, but it was the fear of something worse that made the system change.

Marlon Brando on what James Baldwin taught him about white guilt and white responsibility:
âHe made it very clear to me that all of us white liberalsâguilty, well-meaning peopleâwere merely a big flashlight cast upon the evil of racism, and the flashlight found some corners where it continued, and still continues, to live. âThrow the light,â he told me, âand then get out of the way. This is our battle to win.â He also told me that I expected a medal or a blowjob if I opened a door for a black woman or helped a black man get a job. âYou are a white raindrop on the desert floor of Americaâs racism,â he told me. He was right. But I kept showing up, being the flashlight, being the raindrop, and realizing how utterly hopeless our desire to expunge our guilt was. We deserve the guilt. The guilt stays with us. A cross, an anvil, to bear for eternity.â
Baldwin taught.
itâs so brutal to not feel anything but bad
