part of a post apoc urban fantasy mystery idea

the aftermath of brooklyn and takao goes wrong and parts of the world are lost in a dream like dimensions called voids

hiromi, ming ming and raul and few other bladers lost loved ones in that fight. It has been 8 years since.

they and are still searching these dimensions for them as void hunters in a world where governments control bitbeasts and they are treated as “heroes” to save the world.

sorry I’m late >.< i know it’s june… but here’s my mayblade contribution!! i guess it fits 5. green, and maybe 8. horror? maybe? idk. it’s basically that scene from the russian arc when he’s in his lil cyber tala tank, although originally what i had in mind was an older version of tala from the BioVolt wins AU that i’ve got stuck inside my head in which he continues using the tank thing (is it a bacta tank????) so he can keep pushing himself to keep up with kai.

I wanted to give them different crests than the ones in the Digimon anime, hence the random set of names that clearly lack consistency, forgive me for that.

For Tyson I picke Loyalty, because I think that's not just his strongest trait but also his fatal flaw. He believes in his friend too much, to the point that he ties his existence to how useful he can be to others and is in turn not loyal to his own self worth. Getting past the obstacle of learning to moderate how he is loyal to his beliefs and to the people he cares about is what would help him evolve.

For Kai I really did want to pick Courage, but I went with Perseverance. The intention of the word here is to show that even if he does lose his way or make wrong decisions, he never wavers from the resolve he made. He will stick through his decision and see it to the end, and persevere the consequences till he can be the best version of himself. I picked Vorvomon line for him because honestly while Hououmon is apt counterpart for Suzaku, but I cannot imagine Kai next to Piyomon (he'd slit its throat fr ) 🤣

Rei and Max are two crests which are pretty self explanatory. For Rei I was going to pick Baihumon as the end evolution but when I put BanchoLeomon behind him, I just thought that they looked way too cool together. But yes Baihumon is pretty much Byakko in Digimon form, someday I will rectify this mistake 😌

Hilary gets empathy because just like with Tyson, I think this is something that she needs to learn to excercise with restraint. While being able to understand others and connecting with them emotionally is a great trait to have, we often see her blurt out statements which sound right for the situation only to her, and do more damage than provide comfort. So yes, she wants to help others but she can be overbearing with her kindness, so learning to understand and accept how the other person is feeling is what she needs to grow stronger. Also Empathy and Loyalty go hand in hand and I totally did not mean anything by that.

Chief gets intuition because while he's smart and Knowledge/Wisdom would've fit him perfectly, he's also shown to want to get practical and put himself forward in the middle of the action, which you can only get better at by relying on your intuition.

Daichi's crest of Abundance is somewhat similar in meaning to Light. He has the quality to motivate others when they're at the limits, his energy and hopefulness is always overflowing. He is sort of like the grounding last piece of the group, so when it feels like all hope might be lost, his positively spirited actions will still keep the group afloat and give them the strength to keep pushing forward.

MayBlade 2026- Day 21: Mountains

The missing scene after the end of Ep 12! Rei teases but he's not going to leave his new BFFs to struggle, he'll coach them down. The White Tiger arc of Season 1 is still my favourite, followed by the Europe arc where they're traveling around making nuisances of themselves.

Now that I made it to the end of May I feel like I should actually introduce myself and respond to everyone's lovely comments!

My name is Danie! I'm not new to Tumblr (I've been here since 2015! Which is a crazy thought.) but I'm not that practiced in posting my art and being social, I tend to be a little shy and just lurk. They keep changing how to talk to people here so I'm trying to figure out how to do it.

Offline I'm actually a professional artist that usually works with traditional medium but last year I had to go on hiatus due to medical issues that zapped me of all my creative energy. After recovery I was encouraged to get back into making art by doing what made me start art in the first place, so I've been revisting the shows I loved as a child and drawing for them! This time digitally rather than in the edges of my homework.

Thank you to the MayBlade blog for running this, participating has been a lot of fun. This is the last one within the month of May but I'm going to keep working on the prompts because I'm enjoying myself! I managed 17 pieces of art which I feel pretty good about.

I've been doing a drabble challenge on AO3 that ends tomorrow. This picture is based on one chapter involving Boris (and Rei). It's my favourite out of all the prompts I've done.

Also, his clothes are based on old art I did last year. I will do more pics of him in those clothes. I will also do other characters because it's stupidly fun to just design clothes.

Something a little sillier for today! Takao and Hiromi realising they have the same crush, on their resident grumpy punk boy.

I was imagining this happening at the most inconvenient time possible, like walking home with the rest of the group, they're wondering where Kai has disappeared to and it just gets blurted out by accident. Not pictured: Kyouju facepalming off-screen while Max and Rei try and hide their laughter. Kai is elsewhere, with no idea how much trouble he's causing.

I used a reference for Kai's thirst trap, but I can't remember for the life of me where its from? I think it was an actor in a magazine, Seongji Yuk?

MAYBLADE DAY 20 - Prompt: Crush 💕

One of my favourite love triangle ships from Beyblade 😏🤭

While I don't dislike the canon Rei x Mao, I can't help but ship Rei x Lai (at least one-sided) bc literally every moment Rei was involved in something, Lai had really extreme emotional reactions that make me believe he might have feelings for Rei 👀 I mean, episode 15 of G-Revolution was basically just Lai having a gay panic for Rei 🤭

Also, I wish there were more fanfics and fanarts about Rei x Lai bc so far I haven't found many of those 🤔😅

I'll try my best to catch up with the remaining days despite June being almost here 😅

Day 29: Vacation

Another month-old work of EmiMao,they're out having a wonderful time by the sea after whatever shenanigans happen with BEGA. Emily loves talking about bey mechanics and Mao just listens (she doesn't understand half the words she says)
