pipp petals -> perfect pitch!! she is now a dancer and singer (NOT an influencer!!), based off her early concept art! she can't fly well. she's charismatic, extravagant, and very thoughtful.

izzy moonbow -> glitterdust. she's mostly the same, but is genuinely one of the most practical ponies in her friendgroup. her talent is still arts and crafts, but specifically textile crafts!

zipp storm -> zigzag (ziggy)!! her talent is parkour and stunts. she differs from rainbow dash in the way that she is much less outgoing.

hitch trailblazer -> shore. he is NO LONGER A COP!! YAY!!! instead he is the local conservationist and protects the coast!! I think this better fits his role in the show

sunny starscout -> wishing star (wish). I'm making her an explorer like she was originally planned to be instead of a smoothie maker. she's stubborn and doesn't like to rely on others. her talent is making her desires happen through determination!!

misty brightdawn -> misty dawn. I want her to have a different story because I REALLY dislike opaline, but like in the original story she doesn't join the main group for a while. her talent is... she isn't actually sure. she likes foggy morning walks, and that's pretty much all she's sure of.

contending with Change Your Mind from steven universe in the category “songs that reach into my chest and squeeze me until I pop in delight and joy” is Celestia’s Ballad from MLP. I mean. PIIIOOOOUW…. that song makes me tear up ten years after the fact. If you don’t get it you don’t get it and I’m sorry. If you get it, I’m happy such joy can glow in you also

does anyone else have like, this hauntingly vivid and massive love for any of the MLP songs from this last decade?

Celestia’s Ballad is for SURE up there for me, but I’m… man there are MORE of them. Mostly from G1 and G4 but still! Sometimes I feel like I’m alone in connecting so deeply with art aimed at younger audiences, so it would be so cool to know if others felt similare for any of the songs…
