@avryujin :
kyungjae had tried to read, he really did try but as soon as his head hit the pillow, he immediately dozed off and the book lay somewhere hidden in his blanket. he didn’t have another tiring day, it was just the perfect weather for a nap and how dare he miss that opportunity.
the window was open and the cooling breeze carried some stray raindrops with it, landing on kyungjaes face and somewhat cooling it with that. he’d lie if he said it was a horrible experience. it was great and he loved the calmness that was currently in his room. even as he felt the mattress dip, felt a new warmth next to him and then heard the small greeting next to him, he was still satisfied with the state of the dorm room. actually, he was even more satisfied than before.
slowly, he peeled his eyes open, a tiny, tired smile, spreading on his lips, as he looked at the male next to him. his body immediately reacting to him, as he pulled him closer. relishing in his presence as his head was swimming somewhere in between being awake and slumber. he could’ve spent hours like this, just next to him, listening to the far away thunder as he slowly slipped back into his slumber. it wouldn’t have been the first time they’d fall asleep like that and every time he woke up, he wanted to go right back to sleep just to enjoy it more.
“hi.”, his voice was still heavy from the sleep, as it rumbled through his chest. “you doin’ alright?” he turned his body a bit, just to make him fit perfectly into his arms, as he tried to keep his eyes open just to look at him.
his mind was running on auto-pilot at this point, the usual greeting just slipping over his lips before he could stop it. it was kyungjae’s go to thing, to ask him how he’s been doing and at some point, he just started to say it every time they saw each other, which was a lot, surprisingly. but he didn’t mind, he never would.
