Calum’s skin color, reblog if you agree
Is it okay if I explain why She's Kinda Hot, from a egalitarian's point of view, isn't actually sexist? You can decide after what your opinion is, just give me the chance to explain it to you before you start to get a lot of hate. (I don't think I could fit it into 500 words, which is why I'm asking so I can just reblog your answer to this and add it as a caption.)
Sure, I’m always open to another’s opinion. I’m not guaranteeing I’m gonna agree with you but I’ll listen to you.
Thank you. I’ll de-bunk a few other “sexist” lyrics too, hopefully you don’t mind.
The idea of She’s Kinda Hot as a song is multiple people being pressured into fitting society’s standards, but ultimately allowing themselves to face criticism and being okay with being different.
So the lyrics “My girlfriend’s bitchin’ cause I always sleep in/She’s always screaming when she’s calling her friends/She’s kinda hot though”, when you take into account the music video, aren’t at all meant to be misogynistic. The idea is that a boy has this girlfriend who is constantly shaming him, complaining about how he lives his life, but he thinks it’s okay just because she’s attractive. This is in reference to how emotional abuse and abuse against males are constantly ignored, and that dating attractive women is encouraged, so when the two are mixed together it results in a boy stuck in an emotionally draining relationship because society isn’t acknowledging those issues. So the lyric really isn’t sexist, but is rather pointing out both misogyny (how you should date a woman based on her looks) and misandry (not recognizing domestic abuse against men) within 20-23 words. Quite impressive actually.
Now, for a bonus round:
Heartbreak Girl. Many people assume this song to be about a guy complaining about the friendzone, which it is, but in a different way. If you listen to the lyrics, it’s about a guy’s female friend who is emotionally wrecked by a guy who continuously mistreats her, breaks up with her, but then lures her back in. In the chorus, there’s a line that states: “I could take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.” They aren’t complaining about the friendzone because they want to date her, but rather because they want to help her escape an emotion-damaging relationship.
Good Girls. I can’t really pin-point why it sounds sexist at first, it just does. But once you watch the video, it’s clear that the song is how a girl is more than a grade on a paper and how well-behaved she is. It’s about how you shouldn’t force a girl to fit a mold of perfection, but how you should let her be wild, rebellious, loud, and free. The line “Good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught” truly represents how women have to hide their true personalities in order to fit society’s expectations. I highly recommend watching the video, it’s a huge diss toward the media’s sexism.
Out Of My Limit. This one is notorious because the lyrics sound like a woman is a prize, at least, at first listen. Really, if you listen to the lyrics closely, the message of the song is so obvious. Essentially, the premise of the song is how a girl’s affection, not the girl herself, is something that a guy has to earn. You can’t half-ass it, you have to give her everything, your absolute best, to deserve her love. A girl’s affection has to be earned by the guy, not given away like an old toy. Truly, it puts the woman on a pedestal.
Are their lyrics seemingly sexist? Yes, I won’t deny it. But you can’t just look at one lyric, you have to look at the song as a whole. That’s the mistake that people make when critiquing them, they judge too quickly.
EXTRA BONUS: They have a song called Greenlight, which is a song entirely about pleasing a woman as long as she gives him consent.
I repeat, it is a song about consent to please a woman.
A song about fucking consent.
“You fight like a girl.”

Fatality
Umm so since I’m stupid could someone kindly explain each step for me like step 3 am i head butting him in the face or the chest?
I think it depends on the height of the person, but I suppose the head is a more effective target. I hope this helps :)
Step 1: Step back the moment he reaches for you.
Step 2: Duck!
Step 3: Head butt him in the chin. It’s very important that it is the chin and not the chest because it is much more uncomfortable and disorienting to have your teeth bang together especially if it cuts his tongue (which it will if it is in the way). More than likely height won’t matter. He will be leaning forward from the missed attempt at grabbing you.
Step 4: Knee him in the balls.
Step 5: When he doubles over, jab him on his back. I believe at the base of the neck just above the shoulder blades would be best. I’m not an expert, but this seems like the best place, imo.
Step 6: Don’t lose contact. Bring your other hand over and slam your hands against the sides of his heads as hard as possible. Right on the ears is the best place; it is extremely disorienting if done correctly. Then take his head and bring it down on your knee as you bring your knee up. It’s very important that you avoid the nose because if you knee his nose it will definitely break and more than likely the bones will stab his brain killing him, so aim for his mouth instead.
Step 7: Keep your knee up and bring your foot out to kick him over. Personally, I don’t like the image because it looks like she kicked him with her toes. You do not want to do that. Instead kick him with the ball or heel of your foot and put power behind it with a push.
Step 8: He is on the ground. You could probably stop here and he would get the picture, but if you really want to…Your leg is still in the air from the kick. With all your force slam the edge of your your heel on his side. It will be more effective if you lower your body first by bending at the knee of the leg your weight is on. Done right, you can break a rib or two.
reblogging again for that^
Reblogging for the steps in the image and the explanation in the comments. I don’t so much like the explanation on the image proper, but I appreciate the thought behind it (here, have a self-defense thing, it could save you) and so I’m passing it on.

Honest Posters of Our Relationship with Technology
Designer Ajit Johnson, living in England, has imagined a series of posters called “#This_Generation”. With honesty, the posters show anecdotes linked to our daily relationship with technology and social networks.
“Can’t work a computer to it’s full potential or send an email, proceeds to ask someone a 1/3 to ½ their age for help.” #LastGeneration
“Can’t accept the fact that meaningful relationships can be made online, struggles to respect and accept said relationships.” #LastGeneration
“Has drained and abused the Earth for it’s resources, and believes that a young person would choose internet over survival. Expects us to survive and solve the problems they have created.“ #LastGeneration
“Does not understand that phones are meant for communication, also does not understand that the average semester lasts 4 months.” #LastGeneration
“Refuses to give proper sex education, shames the younger generation for not knowing.” #Last Generation
“Does not understand how social media works and that not deleting/avoiding your recent ex online is just as bad as seeing them every day.” #LastGeneration
“Also texts and drives, pretends that they are not responsible for any accidents caused by their idiot mistakes.” #LastGeneration
“Shames teenagers for taking photos of themselves that make them feel positive about their physical image, probably can’t work the camera themselves.]” #LastGeneation
“Believes that a person’s way of texting with people they are comfortable with is a sign of their intelligence level, texts just as bad, if not worse.” #LastGeneration
“Believes our generation are internet druggies, does not even acknowledge our reasons for being online, or what we do online.” #LastGeneration
“Has caused wars, economic failures, environmental disasters, perpetuated hate based on gender/race/sexuality/religion [or lack of]/and more, pretends that the younger generation is the problem.” #LastGeneration
Whoop there it is
