Oh look, a PINNED POST… Welcome to the blog, an Original Character created by Minx (26, she/her, EST time zone). and blog established in 2012. This character has gone through many changes and many fandom switches so if the character sounds familiar you may have seen it just not written like this.

A little to know about me, I work a lot which leaves me exhausted so my activity is pretty spotty, I also get very overwhelmed at times to the point where I cannot do anything here or respond to any messages, I do promise that I will get to them eventually. I will typically put everything in my queue to run when I do respond which is tagged. I am also very open to plotting with anyone and everyone and I am open to shipping as long as it is with a mun I am comfortable with and it makes sense for my character and yours.

*********There is a few things to note about my muse that differs from her face claim (Lyndsy Fonseca) such as; Ariel’s hair is dark brown almost black, very long and almost always in warrior braids. Also Ariel’s eyes are deep brown/black instead of blue like Lyndsy’s. Another note is Ariel’s accent is a very thick Russian where it is almost hard to understand.

               “Work is important, but family’s more of a priority.” He replied a little too swiftly, but smiled it off as he entered the home. And while he did power through what he had to, he knew that there was going to be holes in paperwork in which his superiors would chew him out for in the future, but if he had to pick between that or seeing his kids, kids always trumped all.

He was quick to make his way to pick up Allie, knowing that Ryder would be far too into his afternoon and evening activities to give him his undivided attention, so he started with the ruffling of hair and a partially ignored hello and I’ve missed you. With Allie still in arm, he approached Ariel and smiled, very much leaning into what they used to do when things were normal. Before they actively started working on things within their relationship and themselves. “He been a busy guy?”

   Ariel nodded as she shut the door behind him before leaning into it. She watched the scene unfold before her and smiled at just how easy it was, until she remembered the reason for having him come over and her breath stopped for mere seconds, soon refocusing as he approached her. “Yeah, he’s been running around the whole all day to be honest, took him out into the yard to play with the dogs and I think it just made him more hyper.” Ariel chuckled and made her way to the kitchen to check on the food and plate it for dinner.

“So I’m going to tell you something but I want you to stay as calm as possible, if that can even be done given the circumstances...” She realized she had been rambling and caught his gaze, smiling softly.

               “So, judging by how tuckered he is, I’m gonna take a huge stab in the dark and assume that Ry had a good time at the fire station today?” There was a warmness in tone that not many people actually saw, the behemoth of a man still chuckling as small bowls of spaghetti were being served for the kids. “Did he get to see uncle Tom as well?”

     “I think this day will go down as the best day of his life...” She couldn’t help but chuckle softly taking a look back down the hallway towards where her son was sleeping, taking a bowl from her friend to cut up into the littlest bites for Allie before sitting next to her and making sure she was okay. “Oh yeah, I got pictures all day with the two of them, they’re actually quite cute. Ry asked if he could go to the station every day. I can show you the pictures later once everyone has eaten if you’d like.” Ariel looked over to Ash who was trying to get her attention and reached out for the glass of water she had set too far away from the little one. “How was your day? Any alpha business or just all day with the kids?”

               He knew tones could be hard to interpret with texts, so he didn’t even bother looking too into it, and hoped he’d get all his questions answered after dinner once the kids were snuggled down in bed.

What he had to be done was finished up as soon as possible and what reports he had written were given to the appropriate higher ups before he even considered making his way back to the home.

After text message was sent, he locked up the car and made his way to the door, giving it his signature knock.

After sending her last text she had poured a glass of wine for herself, and turned on an audio book to calm down any nerves. Before having kids she would have told you that audio books were a bane to her existence but when you need both hands to catch the running children audio is all you have. Soon she was lost in the words of the book as she continued to cook, setting the unfried dumplings aside to be fried once everyone was ready. 

With the ping of her phone and the knock on the door she took a deep breath and placed her hands on the edge of the counter trying to collect herself before heading to the door. “Here we go...” 

She opened the door with a smile and stepped aside so he could walk in. “Hi...that seemed quick...”

               ☽                  she  made  a  mental  note  to  check  out  some  secondhand  shops  next  time  she  had  the  availability,  there  were  surely  some  things  they  wanted  for  cheap,  or  at  least  she  hoped.   ❛   aside  from  like…  time  off,  i  feel  like  we’re  doing  pretty  good  for  ourselves.   ❜  a  glare  is  settled  on  the  neighbors,  soft  huff  escaping  the  brunette  as  she  zipped  up  her  jacket.   ❛  i  think  i  have  some  coupons  in  my  purse  for  walmart,  it  doesn’t  take  a  lot  off  but  it’s  something.   ❜   she’ll  check  after  the  dollar  store,  no  need  to  stress  herself  out  of  it  turned  out  they  didn’t  really  need  anything  else.  words  failed  with  how  thankful  she  was  for  the  other  at  her  side,  it  made  finding  herself  again  a  little  easier.  the  cool  air  of  the  day  helped  wake  her  up  a  bit  more,  and  she  inhales  deeply,  eyes  closing  for  a  moment.  she  was  happy,  she  could  say  that  without  hesitation.   ❛  maybe  we  can  get  some  popcorn  too…  have  a  movie  night  or  something.   ❜  

    Ariel nodded making sure to keep a mental note of that incase Kat forgot about the coupons later on. “Anything helps...” Her voice trailed off as she thought, in no way was she ungrateful because being here with the other was far better than anything she could have hoped for. Especially with someone who had at least similar troubles. “I’ll check and see if any coworkers are getting rid of anything I believe the part timer Nick said he was moving so maybe he has some things.” She shrugged and looked up at the crosswalk they came to, staring at the giant red hand. “That sounds perfect actually, what movie were you thinking? Anything to get our minds of life for a couple hours. Maybe a Coyote Ugly or Devil Wears Prada?”

“No, no. What you walked into ‘cause my ass has been right here,” Faith stated, making a show of raising her foot only to set it back down. “Like the good little slayer you wanted me to be. So if you want my help, you gotta ask nicely.” Maybe she was being childish, but it was in her nature to act as such even if to make a point. The point being; always let the slayer go in first.

“You have got to be kidding me.” Brown eyes roll as a heavy sigh breaks the woman's painted red lips.. “Fine... Faith... will you please help?” Her words stung coming out and tasted like glass. As much as she hated asking for help it was needed or they were both going to die in this situation. “Now can we move along?”

               He knew he shouldn’t have, but Drevyn couldn’t help but let out a full bodied laugh while half turning back to ensure that Ariel was still following. “Least you’re enjoying yourself. But, to answer your question, we’re gonna be talking business with some humans about something that’s apparently going to go down in Griffith. Park ranger types. Depending on what it is, we might have to talk ‘em out of it, especially if it’s gonna infringe on the territory and the ritual tree.” Another small chuckle. “Or would you rather stay office bound?”

Ariel squinted her eyes at him while he laughed and then rolled her eyes and swiped the loose hair from her braid out of her face. “No no, I do not want to stay at the office.” With the mess that everything was it was just more stressful to be there. “Plus, that’s what Ambrose is for... he’s got it covered.” It was clear there had been a switch in her demeanor towards work, though there was still that burning itch under her skin to be in control she shook it off, thinking of what the relationship counselor had told her and Quinn. “How serious do you think they are about moving in on the territory?”
