it’s so hard being an artist in 2026. I’ve been trying to find a platform that I wanna bring in a community but all my options are so scarce and awful

Instagram has a shitty algorithm and if you end up on the wrong audience, they’ll say nasty shit towards you

Same goes for TikTok, only it has alot of kids spreading misinformation and being overly sensitive in general

We don’t talk about Twitter

Youtube is literally hit or miss at times and its audience feels out of touch from the creator at times

Tumblr is decent but only for fandom work so far and it’s catered to more personal blogs, which isn’t what i’m looking for.

Atp I’m genuinely so burnt out because how people my age get their following up while i’m still trying to grow. Maybe it’s probably because my art style looks so stylized and what people demand the most are those “cutesy moe anime style.”

I’m making such a big deal out of something so small but you know how it feels when you’ve been trying to perfect a craft you love so much only for it not to benefit you in any way.

I’ve been trying my hardest to get commissions or some form of currency because my country’s economy is going to shit and i fear i can’t even afford basic needs like lunch. So you can see why i’ve gotten anxious on trying to find a way to get an income using my art
