I really like my routine
Ive been unemployed for the last 2 months and my life has slowly shifted into waking up, eating breakfast, chill in the computer for a bit, do some chores or visit friends and family, go back home to eat my meal, take a nap, go to the gym, do some chores, eat dinner and be in the computer until late at night. Im battling with anxiety rn bc of not making any money and living off my parents, when if you asked me 2-3 years ago what my plan was I had told you something entirely different: I wanted to do enough money to sustain myself while living with my parents of course, but paying them my share of groceries and services. Then, last week: Something change. I started to smile again. I really like my routine

I heard this metaphor growing up, and in my case, it backfired supremely, because I went out into my neighbor's backyard where a rose bush was growing, and the one I tested had like 30 petals (it was yellow, but definitely a rose of some kind), and as a very logical lass, I came to the conclusion that you could have premarital sex AT LEAST ten times before your future husband would even notice something was up. Moral of the story? Test your metaphors on the weirdest and most neurodivergent child you know before writing your weird religious propaganda.

So LA has been â and continues to â protest against ICE. These protests havenât gotten any smaller or lost any momentum, but social media wasnât reflecting it.
TikTok users, realizing that the platform/other social media are censoring/deleting/shadowbanning these protest videos, decided to find a workaround.
Theyâre calling it the LA Music Festival. Ice detention centers and other protest locations are âstages.â The hottest band is Rage Against the Machine. âHereâs what gear you should be bringing to stay safe at the LA Music Festival.â
And it fucking worked.
TikTok has become a proving ground for a lot of new music, meaning lots of labels and organizations have lucrative deals with TikTok to promote their new artists and music festivals. So they absolutely cannot censor the words âmusic festivalâ or train the algorithm to ignore it, or they risk endangering that very important revenue.
So now protest videos are flooding feeds again, but itâs the LA 24/7 Music Festival. Truly an incredible timeline weâve landed in.
During the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s, radio broadcasts would refer to upcoming marches as "parties" and use other such euphemisms to sneak calls to organize past censors. For example, the Birmingham marches of 1963 were called "a field trip in the park with a luncheon".
This is, frankly, a timeless strategy, just done online.

First couple of weeks as a barista and I really like doing coffee and talking about desserts with ppl. The only downside of this job is I work during the weekends and the general working culture in my country (Mexico), overall experience 7/10. Pretty decent, and this is coming from a commie.
Im not feeling well during these last 15 days guys, sometimes I feel extremely sad, specially during the weekends when Im going to work: the image of seeing my familiy resting and talking in our groupchat during sundays still makes me feel sad and depressed. Other days I feel happy as I get focused on my job + my 5 to 9 afterwork: gym, playing games, washing dishes, cooking dinner and playing some more games. Im currently planning to cook or buy my meals each monday (my only day off) in order to avoid doing that chore everyday.
ÂżQuĂ© me puede ayudar a conectar conmigo mismo? Me siento fuera de mi mismo. No logro entender porque hago esto, Âżtan poco valgo? Âżes tan dificil ser feliz? ÂżperderĂ© a mis amigos por no verlos? eso es otro tema, el trabajar me quita la energĂa de salir, quiero descansar pero no descanso porque en mi mente siempre hay el recuerdo del trabajo y las distintas tareas que tengo que hacer antes y despues del trabajo, de ahĂ que quiera optimizar lo mas dificil que es mi alimentaciĂłn.
