not to start whacking the hornet’s nest but i think the most tragic part of ahsoka and anakin’s story together is that from the very first moment, it’s all based on a lie.

ahsoka meets anakin after aotc - he’s already committed an unjustifiable atrocity. he’s already slaughtered the tusken people, and as far as we know, ahsoka never finds out about that. and you know, that would completely and wildly screw up ahsoka’s perceptions of anakin

and i would go so far as to say it would screw with her image of anakin more than the vader reveal. because the vader reveal is like. oh shit your older brother/ best friend has turned into a monster and has committed genocide and is currently trying to kill you

but the tusken massacre reveal is like. oh shit your older brother who tucks you in bed when you’re sick and who makes you laugh so hard your ribs hurt has, for the entire time he’s loved you and you loved in return, been a murderer, and has actively been hiding a horrible, unjustifiable secret

the vader reveal is tragic because the anakin that ahsoka knows and remembers is, to her knowledge, gone forever. the tusken massacre reveal is tragic because the anakin that ahsoka knows and loves is based on a lie

Fuck it I’ll refine them myself. Really like that these look fucking ancient in comparison to other starwars armors. This either tells me this is sith armor passed down or some kind of ceremonial armor marking the republic’s decent into war. Could have possibly made an appearance during this scene.

I see why they scraped it bc that would have been stupid, with palpatine dressed in fine robes more fitting in contrast to those actually fighting his war. There’s also the chance it’s sith armor. I really don’t know anything about these sketches.

WYD when you're Cody and a woman is standing in front of you with a lightsaber and it's your self imposed duty to protect the child she's hunting. you are doing this to atone. she is doing this to attain some semblance of justice in a world so bankrupt of it. but in your face you just see another scared little girl, a jedi too, and in your face she sees not just the man who killed her friends but also a man who protected them, who laughed with them, who fought by their Master's side, and maybe atonement can be found in an empty outstretched hand, in reaching across the gap of all your grief and your hate and your fear and your self-loathing to link hands and decide you will not let this pain make a monster of you. realizing U r Not Alone. self recognition through the other. etc etc
