Selfshipping is so fun when you realise it really is as simple as just shipping yourself with characters, you dont need merch, you dont need to be constantly obsessed or even "obsessed in the first place" you can show your love for them to the world or you can keep everything private it doesn't matter š«¶š»
If they're a romantic f/o, imagine gently holding each other as you glide upon the ice. If you're not for physical touch, imagine simply holding hands, or skating side by side while chatting to each other and enjoying each other's presence.
Imagine trying not to laugh when other people trip over with your platonic f/o. Imagine trying to learn how to skate for the first time with your platonic f/o while trying not to burst out laughing from excitement, forgetting the future for a minute and just living in the moment.
Imagine holding hands and spinning around with your queerplatonic f/o. Imagine sticking to each other when it gets a little too cold. Maybe one of you bought a warm beverage, and gladly offer the other a sip to warm them up.
Imagine your parental f/o tying up your shoes for you. Imagine them encouraging you to go out of your shell but accidently trip you instead. They say they owe you a hot chocolate after. After that, they push you around on one of those big, plastic penguins. You say you might be a little too big for them now, but your parent doesn't care.
Imagine racing with your older sibling f/o, and maybe one or both of you are getting a little too competitive. Who's winning? Maybe you agreed on some kind of physical prize and/or punishment, like paying for food-- but your older sibling covers it whether they won or not.
Imagine helping your younger sibling f/o get used to the ice. Imagine them sticking to you the whole time, a little unsure of their balance. Or maybe they're more courageous, and give it their all on the ice, imminently calling you every time they do something cool.
You can imagine different kinds of f/os with these, btw -- just thought it would be cool if there was one for each!
Here's to the deactivated/inactive selfship blogs.
To the ones who were harassed out of the community, to the ones who got wrongfully terminated, to the ones who felt ignored or unloved, to the ones who aren't alive anymore.
To the ones who got burnt out, to the ones who put their health above maintaining a blog, to the ones who stopped selfshipping, to the ones that just wanted to move on.
I hope you're alright. I hope you're still doing well, and that whatever other internet prescence you have, if any, is a pleasant experience for you.
To those who've had harassment or bigotry thrown at them during their time in the community, you deserved so much better, and I hope nothing like it will ever happen to you again. I wish you safety and comfort.
And to those who've passed away, may their memories be a blessing.

f/o who finds a crane machine at an arcade, identifies the specific item they want, spends an unreasonable amount of money on it, wins it, and presents it to you immediately like it was the plan all along
