Table for Two:Â [ Damsel | Big D ]
daniel--molinaâ:
âYouâve never seen a fight?â Danny laughed. He knew the kind of person he was dealing with â the kind who had been overprotected. âI mean⌠no one fights for attention â which is why this oneâs so fake â no, if youâre like, gonna watch a fight, itâs because youâre in it or youâre trying to make sure the person in it doesnât dieâŚâ
Why he was explaining all the semantics, he wasnât sure â most of what he said was made up, anyway. Heâd been in fights, but he was mostly the idiot who egged his friends on to keep going even though there were bloody noses and stained clothes everywhere.
Danny didnât know what presumptuous meant, not really sure if she was hesitating on coming with him. âI mean, yeah! Like, whyâs that such a big deal? Lol. If you donât wanna come then whatever⌠muggles have way more interesting shit to be doing anyway and I dunno, itâs probably better to bring someone who can keep up.â
A muggle fight was probably more fun than a wizarding one â especially since there werenât wands to turn it into a duel. It was all fists. But Danny wasnât thinking that he was going to watch a fight somewhere else â no, he was out to make some cash, and whatever he had up his sleeve as definitely shit that muggles would pay for. And she didnât seem like the type to really hang out with muggles either.
âCanât say I am the sort of person who would ever fight...â drumming her fingernails against her leg, Colette tried to come up with reasons in her head that could lead to a brawl but nothing in the world seems worth getting injured for, to her at least. âGuess Iâll have to watch out for someone.â which also seems like something that wonât happen, but one can hope that one day she will half-care enough about one person that she will be worried about their well being.
His words werenât a challenge per se, but they did spark something inside her her, letâs call it -- a desire to have a stranger think her worthy of his attention due to her lack of meaningful bonds in every other place in her life, or something along these lines. âI was just trying to ask you for your name.â shrugging, she grinned and extended her hand, âIâm Lette.â in her travels she always used her name, but with her husbandâs shadow so close, the rarely used nickname seemed like a safer choice.
