thinking about that food fight game on the old beanie babies website. why did it take place on a cliff above the ocean. why did you have to hit your opponent so hard that they fell screaming into the ocean. why was the music like that.
oh man, this is another one of those things that might have no online records. but i remember it very clearly. it was a minigame where you played as a beanie babies bear having a food fight with another beanie babies bear. i think one of them was green - probably the opponent, but possible the player. you were on these multi-layered cliff-platform-things and you had to throw peas and pies and stuff at your opponent, and they'd throw peas and pies at you, and you had to continue until one of you fell screaming into the sea.
the music was really weird. i guess it was supposed to be an electric guitar(???maybe???) played in a weird way... not exactly a slap style but something akin to that. it sounded very comedic and funky. then the beat would drop and the weird guitar(?) would continue but there would be ominous bells in the background. the music was funk-style, but kind of atonal and sour-sounding.
i don't think i ever played this game myself - just watched someone else play it - but i sure remember it.
Does anyone else remember Beanie Babies 2.0? Like this is the only image I have from the website and when I looked it up there wasn't much but enough for my brain to remember some. I swear there was a Halloween party at one point where they played a version of the monster mash. I look it up, nothing. Someone please help me find the haunted mansion.
Wah, my mother was showing me some family photos last night and I spotted that one of them had beanie babies 2.0 in the background.
Oh, if I could only play you again.
I remember going into my room at some point only to be blasted with life is a highway from the cars movie. That was the most 2000s thing to ever happen to me, probably... not.
