This almost seems like an awkward ten-yearĀ highschool reunionĀ considering it's been such a god-awful long time since I've come on here, but hello everyone I hopeĀ you'veĀ all been doing well?
(Also, I'm sure many, manyĀ of you are also like "who even is this person?" to those, hello yes, my name is Mickey. I have written Haikyuu fics for 2 and a half years.)
Now first and foremost, thank you to everyone who's sent all these lovely messages on here - asking how I've beenĀ doing, what'sĀ been going on lately in my life, whether I'm actually dead or not (I'm not).Ā They're all very thoughtful and kind andĀ I genuinely appreciate each and everyĀ one
In regards to my long absence I've been so busy with life lately. I've moved overseas for work in a country which is very different from home andĀ settling in has taken a long time (still in the process). I'mĀ constantly busyĀ andĀ literally only amĀ home to sleep a few hours then get up again. This is honestly the most exhausted I've been my entire life but at the same time I'm really enjoying all of the new experiences; which leads me to theĀ second part of this post.
Writing fanfics have been such a joy to me. I remember posting my first work and I never thought anyone would ever bother to read it. I still remember my first comment and how that made me feel.
My second ever work was Arrest me Officer which turned out to be my biggest work yet. All the feedback - the comments, messages, just love you have given me is something that is so unforgettable.
I have posted many works, have countless filesĀ filled with worksĀ which were never posted, spent hours and hours and hoursĀ cradling my laptop, pouring my imagination and thoughts in to these stories. I remember the long nights I spent going through and editing each tedious chapter, oneĀ occasion working at an airportĀ right till theĀ boarding of a flightĀ to quickly finish and get it submitted for others to read. Writing became an obsession to me. I became just as invested as the readers. I wanted to know how the story would end because honestly, I never really knew how they would come to a finish myself. Writing fics was honestlyĀ one of the wildest yet best decisions I ever made.
Which is honestly why this is such a happy and sad moment for me to say I will no longer be writing any more.
Haikyuu was my first ever fandom I actively joined, and I believe will be my last. I have made so many friends on here,Ā the kindest and loveliest people to exist. Each one of you have made such a mark on me that I couldn't possibly ever forget you. You have made my experiences here so enjoyable you have no idea.
I know this is starting to sound like a damn eulogy and some of you are probably like god damn, Mickey no need to be so dramatic about this butĀ just give me this moment, okay?Ā You guys have made such an impact on my lifeĀ that yes, this isĀ very important for me and yes, this entireĀ post-which-is-turning-in-to-an-essay-paper is entirely necessary.
I don't want to say I will be leaving completely. I mean, who knows? Maybe I'll come back one day in the future. But withĀ my current situation, I will not be able to continue.
Ā And I know this post is alreadyĀ long due since I haven't been active for ages that most people have probably already forgotten about me BUT...Ā
It has been such a long, exhausting, hilarious, incredible journey being in this fandomĀ as a fic writerĀ and from the bottom of my heart, I wish to say to everyone who had read, commented, liked, subscribed, gifted, comforted, and showered me with all this love.
Please write more spy AU omg. Mayhe one where iwaizumi is finally allowed the pk...or any gun he wants...just let my son have his guns...
Anon you are literally the first person to say that bless (“°̄̄̄̄̄̄̄̄ϰ̄̄̄̄̄̄̄̄ļ½)Here is a small snippet for you!
Oikawa nursed the mug between two hands as he took atentative sip of his morning coffee. His eyes fluttered shut momentarily and heexhaled in contentment. Taking small steps, he shuffled his way back to thebedroom, pausing now and then to take another sip.
When he got to the room he stopped, having a moment to takein the sight before him. He shook his head and leaned his shoulder against thedoor frame. āI can only imagine what the neighbours will think if they happenpass by and see this,ā he mused aloud.
Iwaizumi peered up from where he sat, perched on the bed. Hewas still in his pyjamas and plush dark-blue robe, hair awry from having just woken up. It was an ordinary sight if not for the scatter of guns whichsurrounded him. He glanced down and gestured at the weapons. āTheyāre going tothink Iām just spending some quality time with my kids,ā he replied easily.
Oikawa almost laughed. āTheyāre going to think youāre anutter. What are you doing?ā
āJust the usual maintenance. I havenāt cleaned them in a whileso I thought Iād spend the free day doing it.ā
āYouāre going to clean allof them?ā he asked incredulously. āThatās going to take hours.ā
Iwaizumi shrugged with one shoulder. āItās easier to do themall at once.ā He fiddled with his rifle, unscrewing the barrel and placed itaside. āAnd I donāt mind. Itās therapeutic.ā
Oikawa rolled his eyes and gave an exasperated sigh. āIāmjealous. Sometimes it feels like you like the guns more than me.ā
Iwaizumi paused at that. He peered up at the other, frowning.āDonāt say that.ā
āWhy not? Itās true.ā Oikawa closed his eyes and shook hishead in mock sadness. āI feel like Iām living the diary of a sad, lonely housewife.āHe gazed off in to the distance, cradling his warm mug. āWhen will my husbandever return to me?ā
Iwaizumiās lower lip jutted out in disapproval. He sat inthoughtful silence for a brief moment then looked over. āCome here,ā he said, patting the bed.
āIām not going to help you clean them.ā
āI know. Just come over here.ā
Oikawa raised a brow, slightly skeptic but obliged. Hewalked over, placing his mug on the bedside table, and sat beside the other.āWhat is it?ā
Iwaizumi gazed down at the guns, contemplating before hecarefully lifted one and held it in front of the other. āAmerican Eagle Colt 45pistol,ā he established. āFinished blue with rosewood grips and manualdecocker. Anti-stress trigger and three dot polymer sights for rapid aiming andtarget acquisition.ā He turned it around, examining it from different angles. āCollectorās item.Only two thousand five hundred made worldwide.ā He glanced up at the other, waiting.
Oikawa blinked. āThatās nice,ā he offered.
Iwaizumi nodded in approval. āIt is.āHe placed it down and picked up another. āKnow this one?ā
Oikawaās eyes flickered over at it then back. āCaliberrevolver. We picked it up at a trades shop in Mexico. Wasnāt it a civil warrevolver?ā
Iwaizumi smiled with his eyes. āYou remembered. LeMatrevolver second model.āWith the tip of his finger he stroked the surface of the scuffed barrel.āDoesnāt do too well in battle but itās a vintage.ā He placed it down again andpointed at another. āDo you remember this one?ā
Oikawaās expression soured a little. āAll too well.ā
Iwaizumi grinned. āNot too fond of the PPK, huh? Okay then. What else.. oh. This one. PB silenced pistol. Double action semiautomaticblowback. Compact. Good for missions.ā He looked up at the other, waiting for aresponse.
Oikawa stared at him. āOkay,ā he repliedslowly. āIwa-chan, this is all nice but I donāt understand what youāre gettingat. Itās all the same news.ā
His husband nodded. āOkay, okay. Then tell me, out of allthe weapons here,ā He gestured around them. āWhich one is my favourite?ā
Oikawa blinked owlishly. āNone,ā he answered easily. āYoulike them all equally.ā
āNope.ā Iwaizumi shook his head. āI have a favourite.ā
āReally?ā
āMm.ā
Oikawa glanced down at the guns. He thought for a briefmoment before pointing at the one of the left. āAssault rifle.ā
āNo.ā
āThe PB.ā
āNot the PB.ā
Oikawa tersed his brows. āBut you use that the most.ā
āI do, but itās not that one. Give up?ā
Confused, Oikawa gave the guns a final scan before nodding. āOkay,I give up. Which oneās your favourite weapon?ā
Iwaizumi shook his head in disapproval. āYou should know bynow.āHe raised his hands and cupped Oikawaās face with his hands, staring at himsternly. āOikawa Tooru. Husband of Hajime. Rarest of all, only one in theworld. Tends to nag a lot but nonetheless very invaluable compared to the rest.ā
The punchline rendered him flabbergasted. Oikawa burst out laughing. āWow, okay I did not see that coming. That was.. god. Arenātyou even embarrassed with yourself?ā
Iwaizumi gave a sheepish smile. āA little, yeah.ā He gavehis cheek a playful squeeze. āDefinitely cringing on the inside.ā
Oikawa smiled, cheeks flushed and pleased. āIf this is yourway of coaxing me in to allowing for another gun, I daresay it might justwork.ā
Iwaizumi pulled the other in and gave a light peck on his lips. āPlans foiled so soon. My dear housewife knows me too well.ā
āWhatever. Now pass me a cloth. Iāll start with the PPK.āĀ

All is well on my side!!ć¾(*Ā“ā`)ļ¾Just been super busy these past few months with a lot on my plate..On the plus side, I recently got news that I've been accepted to teach overseas so I'm very stoked!! I've missed tumblr and you guys very much and I'm excited to return very soon āā
I want to think that these two actually get along really well. Maybe Akaashi would even invite the young crow to enjoy the awesomeness that are Harajuku crepes! I want more TsukixAkaashi interactions and art!Ā
( Ā ; u ; ) Ā I love the 3rd gym butā⦠but I feel like thereās a lack of appreciation for just these two together and interacting. Maybe Iām just not looking in the right placesā¦
āYou know, there are other stands along the way, Tsukishima.ā
