sorry billy shakes but how am i supposed to take king john seriously when one of the main characters is literally in the script as “bastard”
You know, I really feel like we need more RPGs set in like, within the past 100 years or so
I’d say a game set in modern times, but I also mean settings like what Earthbound or Layton has, and those games are set in (what I assume to be) the mid 1900s, so yeah I guess anything from like, 1900 to modern day (though to be honest I personally might prefer up to like, the 2000s or something, since modern day is a bit more used than what I was going for)
I dunno, I just feel like it’s an untapped mine for an RPG setting, and replaying Earthbound honestly makes me want more RPGs with a setting like this
Picrew time!!
Got tagged by @energievie @ma-milkovich @mishervellous and @mickeysfreckles to do THE MOST COOLEST PICREW I'VE EVER SEEN! Thank you <33

As a possible theory: Spinel and Garnet get into an argument. Spinel maybe snaps at her. Spinel isn't known to have friendship experience and Steven is peeved at their fight and tries to humorously make them friends again (Oh, hey, Spinel...just passing by....with Garnet....our friend....Garnet, Spinel's here. We're all in the same room....)
I like your theory.
@beanarie replied to your post:
that’s semi gross that people thought jannah and lando were flirting. one of the producers or somebody said she’s his daughter
Yeah, as I said, I didn’t get that vibe from them at all, but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
IIRC, one of TPTB said that Jannah as Lando’s kidnapped daughter was a cut/abandoned plot element or something to that effect, and that it might show up in the movie novelization?
Or maybe it’s just that, since there are a few lines in the Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary that say the First Order abducted Lando’s infant daughter, fan speculation has run wild to the point that people assume Jannah-as-Lando’s-Daughter is/was going to be established canon?
*shrugs*
hey! i just finished this book so i thought i’d share my thoughts on it. my irl is lipwigliest, after all ;-)
have you ever wanted to be psychologically dragged in an internet-reminiscent manner? look no further! this book (and it’s apparently popular? i just picked it up because i really wanted to buy a book in english) does exactly that, and trust me, you and I need it.
the author brings up quite a few interesting ideas. here’s one, for example: the more something threatens your identity, the more you’ll avoid it. hilariously enough, i had to force myself to keep reading from time to time because the book was making me change my viewpoint on some questions and my brain was like “nooooo”. yes, my dude. yes. its impossible to be a some kind of 100% woke unproblematic entity and thinking that you and other people can be one is pretty harmful. accept that you are probably wrong about something in your life and try to learn from whatever new facts life throws at you.
another thought that I liked was the idea that while we are not always responsible for what is happening to us, what we do about it is our choice. it’s something that i personally need to remember. i can complain about feeling down when i’m home for the holidays all i want but its my choice to spend all my time watching youtube (what i did earlier) or to take up sports or try to find a summer school (what i did in july and am doing now!).
anyway, if i recite every good idea from the book you’ll have nothing to read, so i’m just going to leave it at that. its written in an easy-to-read manner with real life stories sprinkled in so if you are scarred by the daunting ostentatiousness of other life-improvement books it’ll be a breath of fresh air. if you are looking for a drink to go with the book, i’d recommend water with lemon slices - fresh but slightly bitter, like the feeling of “oh shit i do that too and i want to change it” you’ll get as you read.
have a nice day!
