Happy Birthday to the Leader of GLAY!
“I am the bearer of the torch and now I’m passing it forward to Gal and to Patty. I spoke with Patty early on and I couldn’t wait to meet Gal. The three of us share some sisterhood by living and breathing this character.” – Lynda Carter
We are so blessed to be able to benefit from her infinite wisdom…
Currently Watching: Mirage of Blaze
I'm lowkey rewatching this XD
I just traded my neighbour a jar of raw honey for his parakeet’s corpse.
It is also worth noting that the only reason I have so much raw honey is because I made a dress for a beekeeper’s daughter.
And that I need the parakeet bones to make a necklace for the woman who fixed my antique cello.
And that I got the cello as payment for juggling at a child’s birthday party.
When did my life get this weird?
your life is a fucking sidequest
Don’t recast Chekov and don’t kill him.
Have the character have transferred to a different ship and be doing just fine. He sends Sulu messages about how he’s doing. Then respect why Chekov was originally there and make the new person in his seat an Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian, or Saudi Arabian woman. Chekov was there to predict a future where the Russians, America’s greatest enemies at the time of the shows creation, were our friends and allies. Pay respect to why he was created by placing a Muslim woman from a country that America has warred with in the seat. Give her a gold dress, black long sleeve undershirt, black leggings, and a federation uniform approved hijab. The movies would be creating representation and paying respects to what Chekov was there for. Put a muslim woman in the navigators chair and let her fly us through the stars.
Star Trek definitively could pull this off. ♡
… i am not a girl, i am a weapon.
Spiderman would be a lot less cool if he didn’t live in New York
There is no better time for this gif.

Looking back on 2016
1: What did you do in 2016 that you’d never done before?
Faced rollercoasters that I was super afraid of as a child (actual rollercoasters); drove a car in a foreign country! Kind of had an actual Halloween too!
2: Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't recall making any specific resolutions, but I'm not doing great with several of them. It's always a struggle.
3: Did anyone close to you give birth?
Don't think so.
4: Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, a lot of people passed away. I lost my cat, too, who had been with me for longer than my own grandfather.
5: What countries did you visit?
Argentina, Chile, USA and a different part of Brazil.
6: What would you like to have in 2017 that you lacked in 2016?
Inner peace. I complain way too much and snap at the wrong times and at the wrong people. (keeping this)
7: What dates from 2016 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January - 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend in Argentina!
March - Vacations in Chile!
July - Having my sister back for a brief period after she moved to Uruguay. Really hard period, professionally-wise.
August - My cat passed away after almost 15 years. I miss her so much.
October - Vacations in the US - Orlando theme parks and then northeast of Brazil.
8: What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Balancing work and college; I thought about giving up a few times, because these two things basically take up my entire life. I did travel a lot too. And I did a very great course for my field of work.
9: What was your biggest failure?
All the times I let my anxiety prevail. (this is going to stick with me for a long time, I guess) Also all the times I lost my patience over small stuff.
10: Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing out of the ordinary. I had super bad colds during the year due to sudden weather changes and the eternal battle of actual climate x AC in the office.
11: What was the best thing you bought?
MY PLAYSTATION 4. I HAVE A MODERN CONSOLE AGAIN. No seriously, I was so happy to have the chance to finally buy it. I needed to play FFXV!
12: Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My sister has matured and evolved a lot in this year and I'm happy to see it!
13: Whose behaviour made you appalled?
Brazilian population in general, as well as the world? This has been a year filled with intolerance and hate and it's been difficult to stay positive.
14: Where did most of your money go?
Travel expenses, gifts (see PS4 thing above), a cellphone.
15: What did you get really, really, really excited about?
A lot of movies came out and made me super happy! Doctor Strange, Star Trek and Deadpool, more specifically. I became super obsessed with Westworld and Penny Dreadful, only to see the latter end. I was almost able to meet Karl Urban. >_>
16: What song will always remind you of 2016?
Maroon 5 - Animals; Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil; the FFXV soundtrack; Lady Gaga - Perfect Illusion; the version of "Love is the Drug" from the Sucker Punch cast.
17: Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?
A - Sadder. Too many great losses this year.
B - Fatter. Trying to get back to original weight haha.
C - I think I'm richer?
18: What do you wish you’d done more of?
Reflected more before acting and snapping at people for the wrong reasons. (this needs to be repeated for next year) I also wished I had found the energy to do more stuff and see people I love.
19: What do you wish you’d done less of?
I wish I had stressed less over life in general. (2014's answer will do fine for 2016 again)
20: How did you spend Christmas?
Followed the pattern with my in-laws. Then had lunch with my own family the morning after.
21: Did you fall in love in 2016?
Only with several fictional people. I'm still dating the same person!
22: What was your favourite TV program?
The Musketeers and Penny Dreadful ended and I was very sad to see them go. I became very obsessed with Westworld. I also enjoyed Shameless, Game of Thrones and the Sherlock special.
23: Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I don't think so.
24: What was the best book you read?
Ugh, been reading too little. But it should be "I Am the Messenger", by Markus Zusak. Really enjoyed it!
25: What was your greatest musical discovery?
I have recently been in awe with Lindsey Stirling!
26: What did you want and get?
A PS4. FFXV. AHHHHH FINALLY!
27: What did you want and not get?
More Pandora charms.
28: What was your favourite film of this year?
STAR TREK. OMG. FOREVER A TREKKER AT HEART.
29: What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Returning to tumblr to roleplay. This has made me very happy and so proud of myself and my friends!
30: How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2016?
A mix between classic and rocker/romantic? I tend to mix everything I like, but I stick to original items of clothing and others of a more traditional vibe. (same reply applies!)
31: What kept you sane?
Roleplay, definitively. My TV shows.
32: Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Eva Green, Evan Rachel Wood.
33: What political issue stirred you the most?
HAHAHAHA. I don't even know how to begin. We had an impeachment, Trump, Brexit... Everything upset me.
34: Who did you miss?
My cat, so so so much.
35: Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2016.
If you want to have nice memories, you need to work to have them. It's okay to fall as long as you keep picking yourself up.
36: Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"As a child, you would wait
And watch from far away
But you always knew that you'd be
The one that work while they all play
In youth, you lay, awake at night and scheme
Of all the things that you would change
But it was just a dream" (Imagine Dragons - Warriors)
I honestly think that one day fanfiction might become recognised as such a huge movement in lit that you’ll be able to take classes about it at college. There’ll be writing classes like
History of Writing: Homosexuality in Independent Fiction During the Early 2000’s.
