what do you think of the new obey me game….

in all honesty I haven't played an om! game in several years now...but it looks like a cute idea. i hadn't even heard of it until this ask lollll

but fr I think they peaked on the og game (lessons 1-probably 40 or 60?) and now they're just trying to cling to relevance and popularity which makes sense but is kind of sad because I'd like to see something new.

there's a lot to be said about the gratification and fulfillment from actually being able to have a real romance with a given character but from reading the reviews, it seems to have the same chronic issues that span across all of the games (poorly fleshed-out stories, inconsistent characterization, probably some racism, annoying and useless mechanics, etc.), which is kinda disappointing

if anyone who's played if wants to weigh in I'd love to hear more!!
