Iâm So sorry
A little piece made as a gift for a friend, who is a huge fan of 1985 film Radioactive dreams.
A small painting Iâve done for my landlady (as a sorta âIâm sorryâ for a minor mistake i felt very guilty about.
Breakfast
Black sea coast at the dawn
I painted this as a gift to my mother (she grew a bit envious when she saw a painting for my father, so I made her one as well). I was raised by her nearby the Black sea and we often visited it during the summer therefore I chose it as a subject. Itâs not any particular bay though the coastal line of the Black sea from Caucasus ridgeâs side generally looks like it. Sorry for the poor quality: at the time I had a rather lousy camera and now this painting is all the way down south at my motherâs.
âEmancipationâ by some unknown Soviet artist
So, a while ago we were visiting a local pawn shop\flea market place\ used goods shop and found this gem. Inscription on the back told only the name of production company (âSaturnâ which is? like, completely unknown), year (1986 or 1988, it was long ago) and the title of the picture.
Hell if I know what does it mean. And before recently, ahem, âroosterâ wasnât a term for the male genitals, being instead a sorta derogatory term used only in male prisons with implications about being at the bottom of the pecking (get it?) order and\or\implied as raped by other cell mates.Iâm totally lost.
Maybe you have some good theory about why this emancipated(?) woman is attacked by metamorphosed rooster-men(?) and has metall-organic(?!) tubing instead of knees with lamps which illuminate attackers(?)? Oh, and she has a rooster on a flag, too.
An apology in a comic form
Thoseâre more than a year old and, indeed, were done in an apology to my friend who also was a huge Undertale fan. I canât remember what it was about but I remember how I was drawing those late at night. And yes, it was accepted. And Sans havenât even eaten âem, which is good.

Spoilerful Garnet cosplay
A cosplay I did today with my gf for local comiccon. Request to fuse was almost as common as a request for photos :)
Youâre late for what?
Ready for the Saint-Petersburg Pride
Drew a poster for todayâs pride. As always with any events not from the state hereâre some problems with site on the Marsâ Field but hopefully everything will go okay and my girlfriend and me wonât have to spend time in detention. P.S. Iâm not sure so if I really mixed up too much of symbols please write in PM or comments.
Triple check
Never trust your software or laptop battery when it has shown that it has some problems before. And especially donât trust your self-confidence when it says you that itâs fine and nothing will go wrong. Always double check, better yet triple check your equipment.
Yesterday I was finishing up some artwork, I needed only to put some more details on the forefront, a bit more lights and shadows, it took just and hour of peaceful and careful work. Then I pushed save shortcut in photoshop and at the same moment my laptop went out. Now the file is corrupt and unreadible, I spent 4 hours yesterday, trying to fix it - and nothing. I tried a general recover software and it didnât find nothing. Except for some dormant viruses from previous owner, I guess, my anti-virus soft was going nuts during the work of the recovery program. I wasnât making a backup copies, so now, I guess, Iâm left with only that preparation sketch.
Though, there might be hope after all. In the morning I was able to recover this thumbnail of my artwork with all of my changes with a psd-recover software, but for now I stuck.Â
Maybe Iâll be able to recover it properly, but the full version of this software (Stellar Phoenix PSD recover) was called the scam on the net and the free version can only do previews. And even though I felt devastated when I lost the work Iâm not sure that I can afford to spend 39 $ just for a chance to recover it. If you have some ideas about and/or experience with solving such a problem - please, contact me and send in your advise, itâll be welcomed. So, the moral of the story: folks, donât overestimate your battery life and proper workings of battery alarm software and always do at least the triple check that everything fine.
P.S. This artwork was supposed to be an homage to Renoirâs painting âA bar at the  Folies-Bergèreâ, my favorite of his works, with the subject of Undertaleâs character Grillby at his own establishment.Â
