â THOMAS DOHERTY, 24, CISMALE, HE/HIM ⥠welcome back to gallagher academy, LEVI MADDEN! according to their records, theyâre a THIRD year, specializing in THREAT ELIMINATION + DRIVERâS ED; and they DID NOT go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of (messy morning hair, devilish smirk, scent of musk cologne, and midnight swims). when itâs the (leo)âs birthday on 8/14/1996, they always request their MUSHROOM STEAK from the schoolâs chefs. looks like theyâre well on their way to graduation.
Hi!! Iâm Jia and Iâm excited to be here. Introducing to you below my baby Levi!! If youâre interested in plotting, like this and I shall come to you!
TRIGGER WARNINGS: DIVORCE & CHEATING
Full name: Levi Henry Madden
Age: 24
Birthday: August 14th
Parents: Michael & Naomi Madden
Siblings: Liam (24) & Leah (24)
Background
Levi was born into a rich family. His father, Elijah, a politician and his mother, Clarice, a university dean.
Naturally, the Madden triplets were spoiled rotten. Their parents were very busy people, but they made it up to them when they could.
Levi grew up incredibly close to his parents despite everything. Leviâs father instilled in him the love for politics and so, he worked hard at school to secure an acceptance at Columbia University to study politics. He had plans heâd eventually teach politics at a university; that way combining both his parentsâ professions into one.
At the age of 17, Levi caught his father cheating on his mother, something which disappointed and enraged Levi to extremes. Not giving his father a chance to come clean himself, he told his mother what he saw and his parents eventually divorced.
In a fit of rage, Levi anonymously and purposely wrecked his fatherâs political campaign but that didnât truly help him with his anger and he still felt the need to ruin his life, and yet his father succeeded again in the elections. His dad never found out, but his security team did and introduced the idea of spy school to Levi, which he had rejected immediately.
Eventually, both his parents re-married other people and Levi cut ties with his father and stayed with his mother till he graduated high school and changed his university plans.
Soon after he graduated, he met a girl at some party and they impulsively decided to travel the world together (very teen romance book stuff, Iâm aware). With that, Levi postponed his university enrollment and took a gap year. They fell in love and dated for a good while and planned on attending university together after the came back from their travels.
That was when she confessed to him that she was a part of a legacy spy family and she was to attend spy school and she could get him in spy school too with her familyâs connections. Second timeâs a charm, right? This time he agreed. Deep down he thinks if becomes a spy, he can take his father down for good.
And thatâs how he enrolled into a coed spy school at the age of 20. He was lost in the beginning, unaware if that was his thing, but soon enough, he found great interest and excelled in his coursework.
Later on, Leviâs girlfriend broke up with him, citing that she fell out of love with him, something which broke Leviâs heart and also angered him. Despite that, he still pins after her.
He then transferred to Gallagher when the school started allowing both genders.
Personality
Levi is a balance of everything, like he can be whatever you want him to be. He can be a sweetheart, he can be soft, he can be a flirt and a tease and he can be an asshole. It literally depends on who heâs talking to.
He adapts fairly quickly to new surroundings.
He thrives off bantering.
Beyond loyal to his friends.
Has massive trust issues that were only exacerbated by his ex breaking his heart.
A good guy and is really patient, just donât... piss him off. Because when heâs angry, he rages.
Not the type to forgive and forget.
Enjoys the idea of having a girl in his life, whether sheâs a girlfriend or someone he hooks up with. However, when he feels like heâs starting to catch feelings, the boy bolts and ends things.
Used to be a swimmer in high school, so when heâs not too busy with coursework, you can find him at the schoolâs pool because it is his #1 stress reliever.
â SHE WAS RIGHT TO BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS A BAD IDEA. itâs pathetic that sheâs even tried to deny the prospect of seeing him for so long, deluding herself into believing that it isnât what she WANTED the entire time. of course sheâd wanted this, there was no doubt that sheâd see him if she showed up at gallagher unannounced and sheâd wanted to â sheâd tried to avoid it for some semblance of self control, but it had been pointless from the moment she stepped on campus. no â it had been pointless from the moment she thought about him. and it was a bad idea, sheâd known that, because now sheâs here in his arms wanting more than she should, and heâs here wanting her back. her heart isnât the only one that sheâs going to have to break tonight. â youâve already said that tonight, â she says softly, affectionately as she runs her fingers through his hair. she doesnât regret it either, blurting out how she feels or being this close to him, it makes her feel ALIVE in ways that she hasnât felt sinceâŠwell, since she saw him last, and she wonders if all people who are in love feel like this : like they are the first to ever feel this way, that this feeling is unique and entirely theirs, like it gives them purpose beyond the confines of daily life, going through motions like school, homework, making dinner. since her brother died, sheâs gone through the motions without all of her purpose, smiling because she should, nodding when sheâs supposed to. being in leviâs arms makes her feel like sheâs part of something greater, and thatâs not an easy thing to give up. allieâs head tilts upward so that her lips can meet his, heart fluttering in her chest with the way he looks at her. â thatâs exactly the problem, â she sighs softly, finally turning her head away from him, â neither of us can think straight when weâre together, itâs notâŠlevi, itâs not good for us. â sheâd never want to be a liability to him â allie never thought sheâd be in the position where she has to be the strong one, and it feels like sheâs opening a wound. if she canât stitch it up, itâs better that he wonât be around to see that. her hands trail down his arms, lingering until she finally drops them at her sides. â you need to go. â
He likes the way her fingers feel in his hair, itâs soothing. He smiles at her words, shrugging lightly. Heâll say it again and again, because itâs true. Thereâs a pang in his chest when she turns her head away from him. Sheâs right, of course sheâs right â but Levi doesnât want to act rationally tonight, is that so bad? Heâs being selfish, heâs self aware enough to know that, because heâs not the only one whoâll have to pick up the pieces after tonight, sheâll be, too. And he hates to be the cause of that. âIs it really a problem?â he asks quietly, because heâd argue loving someone does that to you, renders you unable to think straight, so that doesnât necessarily make it a bad thing. But maybe, in their case, it unfortunately is, because every time they reunite, they fall back into each otherâs arms, knowingly theyâll have to part ways. Itâs something they both know and yet they go against every time. He shakes his head and looks down for a moment, letting out a sigh. âI know that it is,â he agrees now, feeling like heâs losing. He eyes look at her hands as they trail down his arms and eventually drop at her sides. Thereâs another pang in his heart as a result of her words, but this one is painful and sharp. Heâs experienced heart break before, so he knows this is exactly what heâs feeling right now. He also feels like theyâre breaking up, despite never actually dating. He hands drop her from cheeks, too â itâs probably one of the hardest things he ever had to do and he takes a step back, and he has to look away for a moment, because looking at her hurts. Heâs strong enough to pull away, but not strong enough to leave. âFuck, Allie. How am I supposed toââ Go back inside and pretend like youâre not in the same room? Like everything that happened now didnât? He stays quiet because heâs smart enough to know his words will only hurt them more and make the situation harder than it already is. He takes another step back and just leans back against the wall, like heâs in need of some support.
Thereâs a quiet exhaustion that comes after crying your eyes out that Ruby is becoming all too familiar with. Her breath is tired, eyes a little sore from all the sobbing, and parts of her body still hurt too. Sheâs trying to stretch her right palm out in front of her, the bruises on her knuckles a softer pinkâ sheâs still not that good at punching, clearly. Ruby misses the text when he first sends it, and is only just then looking up from reading it on her phone screen when Levi comes through the door, and Ruby tries her to best not to look so tired for his sake. âCaden was supposed to tell you Iâm fine,â she says lamely and innocently first, and sheâs sure he probably did, but for someone like Levi, she should have known it wouldnât have been enough. âI, um⊠I messed up, Levi,â Ruby starts quietly, lips scrunching into a tight frown, willing herself not to break from the memory again. If she hadnât spent all her tears on Caden, sheâs sure sheâd be crying now, too, and thought the tears donât come, the aching feeling in her chest does anyway.
âYouâre going to give me a heart attack before I leave this place.â Itâs a lame attempt to lighten up the mood, but Leviâs so worried and Ruby looks distressed, thereâs no lightening it up. His brows furrow even more at her words, concern sky rocketing in him. He reaches to wrap an arm around her, pulling her protectively towards him. âWhat happened?â he asks quietly, keeping his entire focus on her. He doesnât know what to expect, he doesnât even know what went on. He has so many questions, but heâll start with this one --- the logical one.
HE CANâT EXACTLY ARGUE WITH LEVI, not if itâs not what allie wants, but cadenâs lips into a straight line out of annoyance. heâs annoyed FOR his friend, that he has to want what he canât have. neither of them have been very good at that.  â iâm sorry, â  he tells him, because really, what else is there to say ?  â just donât do anything stupid tonight then. â  for the sake of his heart. caden rolls his eyes.  â i think noah and i have been together long enough for her to figure out iâm a blast, actually. â  she certainly knows him better than nearly everyone in his life, except maybe levi.
âItâs fine, I knew that already. Not that it helps.â Every time he sees her, itâs like a wound ripped open again, a wound that never actually healed. âI wonât.â Now thatâs a big ass lie, because theyâve already kissed, confessed their feelings to each other. Except, despite the feeling that they just broke up (when they werenât even dating), he doesnât regret this. And now heâs sitting here, ordering a glass of straight vodka, because thatâs what that moment needs. Levi isnât on planning on telling Caden any of this. âLong enough? Youâre still in your honeymoon phase. Sheâs bound to find out youâre boring.â
âSo everybody supposed to do whatever you want?â Sounds like a shitty deal for everyone else, but almost makes her wanna make it to graduation. She wonât pass up a chance to be the main bitch of the night, even though sheâs still hard competition to even the graduates. âNah donât worry, I wonât start forgetting about you till this weekend.âÂ
âOf course,â he says matter-of-factly. âI canât believe youâre questioning that.â He scoffs lightly before the boyish grin is back on his lips. He asks for a round of shots and reaches for his one. âItâs cute you think youâll be able to pull a Trinity Ibarra on me.â He tilts his head to the side. âSo, if I stop texting and checking up, I take it youâll be totally fine with that.â
âNo, it doesnât.â And she said with the brightest smile that she could muster up. He was a drama king and she was the one who didnât give a damn about his dramatics. âOh word?â Harperâs eyes lit up as if she hit the jackpot. To think, Levi actually fell for that⊠Sorry Allie but your mans⊠not the brightest! âHe gave me a check for $2,000. Like can you believe that? You can easily double that.â Triple if he wanted.Â
He lets out a chuckle at her words before he clicks his tongue. âHeartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. We havenât seen each other in so long and this is what I get,â he points out. âHave I ever said no to giving you money?â He quirks an eyebrow. âBut before, youâre getting a drink with me. Whatâs your drink of choice for the night?â
âi suppose that would be unpleasant.â that was her version of sentimentality. âcalling that a skill seems a little overly generous, but sure.â still not a skill that she thought was worthy of pride. âgood.â elliot frowned for a moment, thinking. âwait, where are you working after this?â she wasnât sure if heâd never told her or she just completely forgot.
âRoyally unpleasant.â A grin curves up his lips at his words. âCome on, you would know hangovers can be a son of a bitch.â Though heâs been through hangovers where he couldnât function the next day. âEven tonight, you want to bring me down, Chase,â he teases lightly, clicking his tongue. âThough I suppose Iâll feel weird if you donât do it. Did you find a replacement?â He asks for another round. âNSA, in Fort Meade. Still close.â
âIf you thought Levi was freaked out last time Ruby was attacked, multiply that by ten times now. He doesnât know the details of what went on, but itâs easy to tell itâs related to her previous attack, and itâs driving him insane how after the previous one, Gallagher didnât take the necessary precautions to prevent a second one. He drops everything heâs doing the moment he hears of the attack and rushes over to her dorm room, texting her that heâs coming on his way there. When she opens the door to her room, his face at the sight of her bruised face. Heâs relieved that sheâs standing right in front of him, but that doesnât help the panic he feels knowing she was hurt. He pulls her into a hug, pressing a kiss to her forehead. âAre you okay? Christ, thatâs a dumb question. What the fuck happened?âÂ
SHE KNOWS HEâS RIGHT, but sheâd never actually admit it. instead she just flashes him a smirk, wishing she had gotten to know him a little better this past year. hopefully heâs not one of those spies that ends up dying in the field after their first few years.  â you went on the mission to caledonia, right ?  are you excited for that to be a regular tuesday afternoon for you ? â  she teases.  â iâm going back home, to italy. how about yourself ? â  sheâs sure itâs nothing short of glamorous.  â keep me in the loop for all the celebrations happening on campus, please. â
âYeah, I was with the team that went to Wales.â He assumes she was with Team B, since Cole and Christian were the only ex agents on Team A. He chuckles at her question. âI am. Though I donât think it sunk in yet. Technically, I have two months before it officially starts.â He nods. âHome to New York City then The Hamptons,â he answers. âI like Italy. Where in Italy are you?â Heâs traveled there a couple of times. âOf course. You want to have shots with me again?â he teases lightly, asking for another round of shots.
â SO WHAT ?  itâs like being an army wife. nobody gives you shit for dating someone in the military. â  that he knows of.  â not that you have to marry her, obviously, but it seems a bit premature to be thinking about. i mean, maybe when youâre not jetting around the hamptons in the summer or locked in the same school together, sheâll actually find out youâre pretty boring. â Â
âAn army wife is okay with being an army wife. Allie doesnât want to be with a spy, dude. Premature? Iâm starting a new job in a couple of months. My professionâs not getting any safer.â He should probably tell Caden they confessed their feelings, but heâs going to be roasted and will never going to hear the end of it. So he decides against it. âSame can be said about your ginger girl,â he points out, letting out a chuckle.
â ALLIE DOESNâT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY TO HIM NOW, all she can do is look at him slightly slack-jawed, lips parted in surprise. this should feel like a step forward, the fact that theyâve gotten everything theyâve been feeling over the past YEAR out in the open, but it doesnât change the outcome, so itâs more like theyâre walking in place, trying to change a future that doesnât seem to come. it doesnât change the horrible feelings that she has associated with the espionage career, the fact that they killed her brother, the way she canât wait up every night wondering whether another loved one will be lost or not, but it ALSO doesnât change that she feels like his smile lights up an entire room, that when things are good for them, theyâre so GOOD, that he makes her feel giddy and light, and all she wants is to be around him. when she first came to gallagher, sheâd felt so cold ; like everything was numb and empty, and sheâd tried EVERYTHING to fill that void, but there was no fire that provided as much warmth as he did. only now, she feels like sheâs burning. how else should she feel when he says heâs still in love with her ? allieâs already meeting him halfway when he moves forward to kiss her, arms draped over his shoulders as she returns the kiss. the kiss is desperate and intentional, like someone who believes this is the last time theyâll ever get to kiss the person they consider to be the love of their life and they need to say EVERYTHING that words canât with it. she canât get enough. her heart beats loudly against her chest in unison with his, pressed so close to him that sheâs no longer sure where she ends and he begins. it hardly matters, and for a moment in time, they are on the same page about something, doubts melting away in exchange for the bliss of being in his arms. but eventually she will have to catch her breath, and the moment cannot last forever. sheâll miss him already when she tears herself away, feeling like half of something rather than whole. â we shouldnât have done that, â she says, voice soft and slightly raspy because she hasnât recovered from the kiss. which is probably why sheâs still looking at his lips.Â
Itâs no surprise the kiss is desperate, especially when Leviâs been desperate to have her in his arms and his lips to hers. Heâs always been better in expressing himself through actions, and although heâs said more than he anticipated to Allie tonight, his head is full of so much more unsaid things. So heâs putting his all into the kiss, expressing the intensity of his feelings and need for her through it. Itâs a kiss with months of missing one another going into it, itâs a kiss where both of them know whatâs coming next. Heâs crazy about her and he canât get enough and itâs evident in the way heâs kissing her --- hungry and hard. His arms go around her waist, keeping her as close to him as physically possible, eliminating any space between them, lips melting together. He doesnât think of the aftermath of the kiss, because right now, the kiss it all that matters and really, he wants to drown himself in Allison Beckett. He doesnât know how long they kiss, but the moment she pulls away, he desperate to feel her lips on his again. He has to take a short breath, from the force of the kiss alone. He rests his forehead to hers, giving her a slight nod, as if in agreement, though what comes out of his lips is the total opposite, âI donât regret it.â Rationally, they shouldnât have kissed. And yet, Levi has zero regrets. He would do it all again. He would kiss her again. Heâs still refusing to really think of the aftermath of this. This time is deeper, too, because they have confessed their feelings. And yet, all Leviâs thinking about is the fact that sheâs here and in his arms. He hasnât had enough of the kiss. He moves to lightly trace his thumb along her lower lip and leans in for another kiss, this oneâs shorter, but still passionate, because his self control and self restraint is pretty non existent right now. âYouâre making me lose my mind, Allie.â His eyes are alternating between her eyes and her lips, faces still too close. He keeps her close to him --- wanting her to remain in his arms. âFuck, I missed you.â
âMost likely because youâre a nobody.â Not Monique though, yâall be safe out there. His name set off various alarms in their head, unlocking a memory from months ago. They remembered their film class and sitting in the back with Martina, Trinity, and Scott. Their constant chatter, the passing of chips, a very much annoyed Monique. Names popped in the conversation, Charlieâs as Monique threatened to move and sit next to him. And the name Levi, a name without a face at the time. All they had to go by wasâ âSo youâre the thumb.â It came out without meaning but ni doesnât try to cover it up. âHold out your hand,â ni ordered, keys dangling out for him. âI want to drive out into town. But if youâre here, you can drive me.â
âIs that your excuse for not knowing who I am? Not a very good one, and itâs a false one.â He clicks his tongue. If Monique thinks they are here to kick his ego down a notch, they will have to try a lot harder (though I support it. Do it, Monique!). He blinks at their comment, confusion evident on his face. âThe what?â Thumb? What does that even mean? âVery demanding,â he teases, but does as told, holding his hand out and nodding as he takes the keys. âYour wish is my command. Just a drive or you wanna go somewhere specific?â
âNope, not at all!â Levi could definitely out drink her but she didnât care. This was their last Gallagher party together, gotta unwind and have some fun! Following in his lead, Sunny downed her own shot. âNervous about tomorrow?âÂ
He chuckles, already knowing the answer. Heâs come across a drunk Sunny before. Heâll definitely slow down on the shots so itâs not too much for her. âNah. I donât think it officially hit me, to be fair.â Right now, heâs just celebrating and unwinding. âHow much are you gonna miss me?â
âfine,â she huffed. âoh yeah? what kind of jail time are we talking about?â probably not a great thing for her to be thinking about while drinking, but apparently her dadâs situation was on her mind. âyou say that like itâs something to be proud of.â elliot laughed and shook her head as she took another shot glass and held it up to cheers with levi. âyeah, itâs going fairly well. you?â
âA life without Levi Madden kinda jail. The absolute worst,â he states, already asking for a third round. He chuckles at her words. âKnowing how to deal with hangovers is a skill.â Heâs gonna have a bitch of a hangover tomorrow, but whatever. âYeah, itâs fun.â Thereâs an open bar, so heâs not complaining.
âWhy would I? Itâs the truth!â Whether it was true or not, Harper was laughing. âYouâll get over it, youâre a big boy.â A little pat to the arm as reassurance. âWhy not make both me and your money happy, I mean, your boy over thereââ She pointed towards Caden. ââ Gave me a lot of money as a graduation gift. Think you can beat him? I mean, you are the Levi Madden. You can beat anyone.âÂ
âBecause itâs hurting me! Does that mean nothing?â Of course, the dramatic demeanor does not subside. Itâs Levi Madden, please. But he canât resist the chuckle that escapes his lips at her pat of reassurance. âToo cold, Harper Kent... Too cold,â he teases. âOh please.â He scoffs. âI can beat him. Iâll double whatever he gave you.â Heâs used to giving Harper money. The sugar daddy life and all that.Â
â YOU CAN LEAD DIFFERENT LIVES WHILE STILL DATING, â  caden shrugs. he doesnât really get it.  â what do you want thatâs different than what she wants ?  she already knows what you are. isnât the hardest part of dating a civilian not telling them youâre a spy ? â
âYeah, this isnât all it is. Iâm going to be out on the field, sometimes gone for a while on missions, and you know well, nothing about what Iâm gonna be doing is safe.â Heâs a TE major, after all. âThatâs what makes it hard to be together.â
