so many social media personalities are terrible people in real life who sell a false image of approachability and kindness online where I fear I am the opposite, I’m a rancid opinionated, abrasive bitch online and an aloof but piteously polite character irl. I’m a recluse who avoids any sort of social interaction, I bend over backwards to try to keep from inconveniencing my family, doctors and neighbors in any way. I post my unfiltered thoughts here but I am an extremely restrained and anxious person otherwise. it is less of a deliberate deception and more of a form of release. I’m glad some of the things I say online can be helpful to someone sometimes, even if my delivery can be crass and polarizing. I’m milder in person

i like when a piece of media says that an all-powerful character "sees humans as insects" because that really could mean a lot of things. maybe they view us as insignifigant and will squish us under their boot. maybe theyre actually studying and cataloguing us for their thesis paper. maybe theyre campaigning for human protection because we're an important part of their ecosystem. maybe they see a human and go "ew ew ewwwwww someone get the cup and get that FREAK out of my house." .

Eridian Grace is such a cute idea. I need to crown everyone who decided on a cute spiky lil scientist spider who crashes into everything. The idea of him using a tuning fork as “glasses” to hear better is fun but I keep thinking of how Grace always loses his glasses and wears them weird. I can’t spot picturing the tuning fork on top of his head bc he wanted to set it somewhere he wouldn’t forget and he’s confused he can’t find it. Day 203/365 of listing something good I saw today:

We bumped into my boyfriend's old friend that he hadn't really seen in a good while now. They chatted, catching up a bit, and I invited him to come along to this thing we're doing soon. I didn't expect him to say yes, it's 100% not his kind of thing, and he politely declined as one could expect. My goal was just to leave a little footprint there, establish just a faint thread of "making plans to do something in the future is an option". It's not much, but "maybe something else some other time" does set "something some time" on the table.

There was a trend in the 40s and 50s (not sure if it predates that or if there are places that still do it) where you could get your child’s baby shoes cast in bronze or dipped in bronze and use them as keepsakes or have them mounted as bookends. Better than the resin slop of the modern day in my opinion. My great grandma had my grandpa’s baby shoes made into bookends ends because she loved him very much and he was her only child and it is honestly really cute. My mom got her dad’s baby shoe bookends when she moved out and they were in my living room my entire childhood, she had explained how they were grandpa’s shoes covered in bronze and I thought that was cool.

Then I went to an art museum and saw bronze busts of people and my tiny child brain thought the person’s dismembered head and shoulders were in there…

also i just know rocky is seething whenever he tries to talk about his feelings but the translator spits out some crude, chewed-up oversimplification of his confession that can still be reasonably construed as platonic. which grace absolutely does.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.
