Cannot believe this episode was the one where we had a 20+ minute conversation about the unique power of Imagery and its relationship to art. It is a little silly to get so stuck on strong visuals overriding all the mediocre aspects of a piece. But shit, I think it’s worth reconsidering basics every now and then.

i thought south of midnight's atmopshere / visuals / soundscape were incredible but the narrative styling and the gameplay just didn't hit for me personally. on the flipside, videohole ep2 is something outside of my comfort zone, but a new fav. if you like media crit/coming of age, give it a shot.

i have been Pondering yesteryear all weekend because i am not sure that i agree with the way the book is marketed but i also don't know how i would market it. it's not what it seems. once again: out of my comfort zone, really glad a friend brought it for book club, new fav.

i think mother mary wants what yesteryear has, in some ways. snow white and the huntsman is a really fun spectacle thoguht the narrative is really thin. if you want to watch charlize theron serve cunt and throw kstew in full plate around, it's a perfectly fun way to spend a couple hours.

i read the ayn rand in our native russian. it's a couple essays she wrote when she was young and still living in russia, and it's funny to see how consistent her voice and her particular hangups were the entire time. again: apt observations, completely unhinged conclusions. what a character.

By using a 19th century crime treatise, and some 21st century economics papers, I theorize about what compels Duskwallers to abandon their 9 to 5s.
